Changed my alternator, got a new battery and the battery light came on when i came to a stoplight. But went away right when i stepped on the gas pedal to go. Idk what to do anymore and im broke and scared. Could i need to change my terminal posts?

The alternator makes A/C current to keep the battery charged. The alternator may be OK and the charge is NOT going into the battery. Do NOT assume that the alternator is failing until it is metered and is proven faulty....

@@norahb just had that happen to me tonight on my way to a weekend get away. Managed to get to my friend's house ok but will need to drop it off at a shop tom (on a Sat) but fortunately have someone driving to get me so that we can hit up an event together. Guess we'll see what they find.

Sir. I've tested the alternator by disconnected the -ve battery terminal.Engine still running..that means alternator still charging.The problem is battery indicator light on and off.So far my car battery ok.. engine start ok as well.What's the problems actually?Tqvm

On and off means failing, not yet totally failing, one possible reason is the alternator belt is slipping, or the alternator is about to fail.

Or you can have a loose, corroded or stripped battery terminal or ground…

Common issue is worn carbon brushes in the alternator. That is the main wear point.

Check the wiring. Checkvoltage drop between alternator and battery . Verify the capacity of your alternator against the electrical requirement of your car.

Check the wiring, one possible reason is the corrosion in the wiring checks the voltage drop between battery and alternator, we have related videos on this channel on how to check the voltage drop.

Check the wirings. Do a voltage drop test, we have related videos on how to conduct a voltage drop test between the battery and alternator. Also, check the capacity of your alternator.

Well my i think my alternator is loose because lastnight when i got home my car was working fine , then as i was heading back out to get dinner it start acting funny then it wouldn’t start it just started making a clicking sound , and then next morning i woke up to see if it would start up and it did . Then a house later i went back it started doing the clicking sound again
