I swapped the alternator and battery in my 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee also the terminals don’t appear to be corroded, is this normal?

Some stupid dodges/ Plymouth have battery temperature sensors which is stupid. My neon has a battery temperature sensor and it would turn on the battery like off and on

@Laque Y I am impressed! The Neon 2.4 litre engine was infamous for blowing cylinder head gaskets. Some of those horrible little engines made their way into Jeep TJs as well. There are very, very, few of those Jeep TJs (Wrangler) running today. The TJs with the 4.0 and the ones with the 2.5 engines are still running just fine.

Did repairing the wires solve the problem for you? I've got the same situation on my 2006 PT Cruiser. Battery light stays on but the alternator is charging fine. I checked the white and green wires to the alternator and they were fine. I was even able to verify continuity of the wires from the PCM to the alternator. I'm stumped.

For future reference, I read about a Technical Service Bulletin that might resolve the problem. I took the 2006 PT Cruiser to the dealership with the instructions for PCM Reprogramming (TSB 18-007-07) already printed out. This TSB addresses DTC P063A "Battery Light" and improves Gear Shift delays. It cost me $100 out the door, but the battery light has stayed gone and shifting from 1st to 2nd has improved. www.tsbsearch.com/Chrysler/18-007-07
