If you watched my micro-ceremony mic rack system, this is going to be its big brother. With four Sennheiser full base receivers, Sabine feedback control and RDL field mixers. I picked the field mixers up on ebay for about $40/each. They retail for nearly $400. The Sabine has long been out of production. I sourced it specifically because it runs on 12vdc. and the mic receivers are being pulled out of a larger rack that get's little use in its current configuration.
This is my proof of concept video showing that it can be all powered from an internal battery pack. The next video will be the actual build of the system.

Why don’t you connect your receivers directly to the JBL Eon one pro? I was looking to make a similar setup but without the need of another mixer.

Any ideas on how to make a lcd or dlp projector battery powered?

Hi Dennis, You'll need to do a bit of math first and of course, know the specifications for your particular projector. DLP's are generally more efficient than LDC's. Let's use a common projector for this example. The Epson Home Cinema 3700 Full HD 1080p 3LCD Projector consumes 384 watts of AC power. So you'll need a 12vdc to 120ac inverter. I would suggest a 500watt inverter. Next you'll need to determine how long the projector will be turned on. Let's say 2 hours. so 2x384=768 watt hours. Next you'll need a battery pack with an adequate capacity. I'd size about 25% more than you need for the projector and factor in the overhead of the inverter (energy lost through heat). Let's size up and say that you're using 1000 watts over the course of two hours. divide that by 120volts and you'll use 8.3 amps of power. Now you know you need to either build the correct size Lion battery pack that equals 12volts and has at least an 8.3 amp capacity. I might consider a small, sealed, AGM battery for this purpose and build a battery/inverter box. Here's one: www.amazon.com/8-3AH-100W-Sealed-Lead-Battery/dp/B00B0H8L7G If you were to wire two of those in parallel, you'd double your capacity. Four of those and you'd quadruple, etc... I'm not sure I'd to this with 18650 lion batteries. That would require a lot of cells.

@@JSEntertainmentCo your're the man. Thanks for sharing your insight and knowledge especially for those who want to perform out of the box. My Optoma X600 XGA Projector for Business with High Brightness 6,000 Lumens. I have been looking into a 3 mic battery powered system for awhile and thanks to you, I know a great way to accomplish it. The JBL is not my choice because of the line array but I won't rule it out. I have a 4 mic system now with the amplivox but it is primary for speech only. And now you are showing me how to make my projector battery powered. Like you I love the freedom of battery powered and wireless.

@@JSEntertainmentCo I have a quick question. I have a Amplivox SW915 Digital Travel partner PA that is battery powered with Rechargeable Batteries (2) 12 volt rechargeable, 7.2 AH. My Shure BLX Combo Mic's Power supply is 12v 450Ma. I hooked up so I could run the Shure off the battery power of the Amplivox. Will this be a problem for either unit? Thanks.
New spin on my wedding ceremony system.
