This tempo definitely gives it a more typical late 80’s Bay Area thrash feel, it’s like if Exodus had written this song instead.

The only thing that Metallica didn't do was this: going 300 Km/h in the studio. I guess the record wouldn't be as tight, but...Yeah.

They couldve easily crushed other bands speed, but they choose to focus more on writing the best riffs imo

They chose to remain tight instead and it shows in the quality of the albums vs every other band. Yea there were faster bands in the studio, but none of them sounded better

@@Squall6575 They lower the tempo in the studio and slightly pitch down their guitars so they can record everything as tight as possible then increase the tempo to how it was written.
