Hi, I have a my 2024 ID7 and still haven't got the 4.0 software. My car says 3.6.0 and app says 3.5.0 software. Where a d hiw do I get it? Is it the siftware in the app or its the software on the car?

Can't really see much difference to the app with that have 3.2 installed. Looks like the car syncs a bit faster I guess newer features will probably be 4.0 only from here onwards...

Can you explain that please are you saying that the navigation does not work at all without the subscription. or just the live data navigation enhancements? After watching this it has reinforced my idea of simple. I will buy my next car based on basic spec with as many addons not fitted as possible.

You have to ask a dealer. It can be different in other countries

@@BatteryLife So what you are inferring is to get an ID7 without all the onerous complexity is to search the different countries and probably import the car from outside of the EU. Because as is your car is a non starter for somebody who just wants to drive his car without ALS and a 3 minute start routine via your phone.

As a software developer, I can't express enough how much I dislike the excessive software in new cars. It's often complex, borderline useless, and sometimes outright dangerous. Thank you for all of your videos, however. Although I watched nearly all of them, buying a VW EV is not an option for me. Half-baked products at best.

I've owned Tesla and 5 other EVs ...I'd say Polestar software(android) is superior to Tesla by a fair margin.
