Used to be a form setter for a cement contractor. Swung 12lbs, 14lbs, 16lbs stake mauls all day driving 2×4 lumber stakes into summer baked clay. Would swing it a few hundred times a day. Some days, I liked the 12, and some days I liked the 14, depending on the dirt conditions. I never liked the 16. Memorable times and glad I don't have anymore.

I like. How you call it purse. Mine was called big bertha. And I made her in shop class for a project. The shop teacher didn't care what I made as long as I made something. Because I was helping him teach other kids in the class that didn't quite understand. How do you use the tools or didn't get taught this when they were younger. So I was pretty much his assistant. I would do the jobs he didn't want to do. That way he could take the more experienced kids and have them doing more dangerous stuff. And I would be doing the basic stuff with the other kids.

I used to swing a 16 and a 20 puttin up circus tents. We had 2, 3 or 4 guys swinging on the same spike. Im 60 now. It hurts more but you never lose it.

No he did it with one hit . That Kin Pin is tapered so once the taper was broken free gravity did the rest . Yes most King Pins are straight so they would be a fight to get out unless you use a press .
