I think the general consensus is that the elbow drop on the survival blanket is absolute gold. I learned early on that I had to be careful when I would drink my whiskey while watching your videos for fear of laughing mid drink. love your channel!!

I work in a hospital as an X-ray tech and thankfully never had to do cpr at work. But I did have to do it on my grandma and it totally kicked in. It's almost like what to do just clicked in and I didn't have time to be emotional, it was just saving her. And thankfully it worked! I got her back and she lived for 2 years after that, and I'm grateful for the knowledge I had to let me have that extra time with her. What I'm tryin to say, lol, is that I think if u had to, the training would kick in. I freaked out afterward when the ambulance took her, but while I was doing it it was like calmness came over me. Hope that makes u feel better if u ever have to do it!

Hey C! Just wanted to let you know that most states, if not all, have what's called The Good Samaritan law that says a person can not be sued for issuing aid that's with of a common knowledge nature. Giving someone the Heimlich maneuver, a thing most anyone knows how to do, will often bruise or even break ribs. Chest compressions are pretty much the same thing. The procedure is being taught outside of CPR classes now a days. I may have to check into battle box. Definitely more quality stuff then other monthly clubs I've seen.

Good Samaritan Law keeps you from being sued if you perform CPR on someone... as long as you trying your best to save the person and not performing field surgery you are covered.

That knife was literally razor sharp, out of the box. I know a lot of people say "razor sharp" without knowing what it means, but this one is LITERALLY razor sharp. I shaved some hair from the back of my hand with it.

Mine had a massive hole in the front flap as well. Usps tried to cover it up with a ton of usps tape, but the hole still came open. Luckily nothing was missing.

They can't sue you for breaking a rib brother, it is a law called good samaritin law, I know only because my cousin went through a similar situation where this jack wad tried to sue him and the judge threw it right out due to that law.

When you use the tourniquet generally someone would put the time down when it was applied somewhere visible so the Dr could see it, help them determine if they can save the limb i believe. if you gota sharpie thats great if not... use the blood

wow I'm impressed with this month. the fox knives dark series dart is my EDC and it is SHARP. Im glad fox knives got some love from battlebox instead of the same ol gerber,benchmade etc etc knives. also this month seems to concentrate on increasing your knowledge base with all the books and such and first aid is something I feel a bit more universally useful since Im from NYC and am about as far away from nature as you can get . good work battlebox and good work as always Currin. BTW did I miss something or didn't you say you would have footage from shot show?

General first aid and CPR covered by the Good Samaritan Law. Plastic first aid box, breakable, got an alternative? Surgical tool set- cool. Red tourniquet strap, dog leash anybody! Survival medicine, check out Dr. Bones and Nurse Amy website. Like the medical shears. Never seen them before but I like them. What's the purpose for the serrations on the bottom of the knives? Overall, nice box.

Dam, the US is a hard place haha. Over here in the UK, If you give someone CPR, whether you are trained or not, save them but break a rib or somthing. They cannot sue you because you are covered by something called the good samaritan law.

In England we have a Good Samaritan law so if someone try's to sue you they can't I don't know if it's like that in America

Ok. So they guy not trained in CPR broke the victims rib. But we can deduce the victim survived than sued his rescuer, a Good Samaritan. Therefore, the administration of survival breaths worked. Fair to say this might be an unlikely scenario. Nevertheless, if a rib were broken the victim would lose in court since the victim could not speak in this apparent scenario. A call for help is applied to the victim in the eyes of the law. The case would be dismissed.
