That was a great piece of history you have discussed Tudor in relation to the Abbey and regarding Henry V111 and his dissolution of the monasteries. Was quite a contentious issue. Thanks.

A little bit tongue in cheek but what Battle Field?. I live in Hastings and firmly believe the Battle took place in Crowhurst where there are the remains of an abbey and as William said, he would build an abbey if he won. There have never been any archeological finds to say the Battle was fought in Battle and the landscape is not right. Also, Battle Abby would not allow the Time Team to do a dig there and there is a sad lack of evidence in the Abbey`s museum. Otherwise a brilliant video and a new subscriber.
