I'm just a spectator /theorycrafter (not in beta, probably can't run the game on my machine) But I really like Heavy Hunter. Judging by stats/cost, it's way more efficient anti-air than all the tier 1 and everything in the game except advancebots If you do include Heavy Hunter, I wonder if it's reasonable to go without Anti-air in your core Something like Wasp/Scorp or Wasp/Crab (with the idea of opening mostly on Wasp and transitioning to bulkier ground units as the game goes on) By the numbers, Scorpions are among the most cost-efficient units in the game (which makes sense given the melee attack and lack of abilities) I suspect Crab might be better as the game goes on due to the diminished need for melee surface area, although perhaps Scorpions are just too good (better health per cost, better DPS per cost) for that consideration I saw in your first game the choice of Assault bots as your Foundry Tier 3, which I really like. I haven't seen much use of the "advanced" versions of core units in pro games (advanced blink seeming to be the most popular) but the assault bot and advance bot seem like the most efficient due to the zero energy cost, allowing the energy to be spent elsewhere. Perhaps players simply value some technical option "too" highly? And thus aren't willing to spend a Tier 3 slot on merely upgrading the core of their army Or since Scorpions are almost as good as Behemoths at turning Matter into HP that's the preferred dump for extra matter

on the other hand it's hard to argue with King Crab / Destroyer as your Tier 2 techs, given the great damage per cost of the king crab, reasonable health per cost, and the value of using destroyer to counter his crab (or counter his counter to the crab)

He was probably gonna lose after that first push, but he realky should have stuck it out and played defensively. He wasn't beat yet.
