Director Guillermo del Toro was the one who introduced Alita to Cameron in the '90s. Cameron produced a TV series called Dark Angel with Jessica Alba and this was partly inspired by the manga. I'm going to share this video on Twitter with our #AlitaArmy who hope to have the sequel.

I do love the brief, alien face hugger cameo

strange i find the motorball transition more abrupt in the movie, like this was here for no real reasons in the story, in the manga she refuge herself in this "sport" to forget about Hugo death and there is a transition a smart one in my opinion where we follow Ido searching for her and so we learn that she disapeared and are presented with the motorball setting at the same time that Ido discover it.

Battle Angel Alita is like a story of a newborn to adulthood with the same body

If you like the manga and want to see the ending, read Last Order. It's the actual ending the author imagined, he had to rush an ending for the first series manga.

I love Alita. I wonder if this and Berserk shared influences since they've been writen around the same time, for example the Berserker armor/body, and Makaku's backstory mirroring the Egg of the Perfect World backstory. *It's an ending indeed although this is not _the_ ending as the author was sick and thought he was going to die so he made an original ending. Alita Last Order is how he planned to continue the story from the point of that car explosion in the original Alita.

I absolutely love Alita! It is very dark! I’m current with the volumes, Mars Chronicles. I absolutely have a soft spot for it and yes, the movie is very good! Figure Four! 🥰 I agree, The Major is pretty badass!

I don't have the ghost in the shell manga but I really want to pick it up.

Does the series have alot of nudity or sex? My kids saw the movie and liked it alot. But im a bit hesitant on the manga. Just want to make sure there is no excessive sexual content
@rammelbroadcasting7 ай бұрын
It depends on the age of your kids I would say. There are a couple of panels of nudity but, it is of a girl in the shower I believe. Non of the images are sexual and there are only maybe 2 or three. Also of course some violence but I would imagine that is to be expected.

It's a very good SF manga, imo, but far from BLAME! (which is in a league of it's own), Other SF manga you could look into are: 2001 Nights, Stardust Memories, Planetes or Ikigami.

Yeah BLAME! takes top spot for me so far. But I'm also pretty new to this as well.
