Seen Battle Beast twice in concert now. 2021 & 2024. 2021 they were phenomenal. I was blown away. 2024, this year, they were magical. I can't even believe they somehow improved. It's 1 of the best I've ever seen. And I started with Dio in 88.

Do they have a special factory in Finland somewhere that crafts these singers specifically for the rock market? Unbelievably beautiful women with voices that could double as sonic weapons in case of alien invasion. There's far too many of them for it to be a coincidence or just good genetics. I think they're building them to order. It's the only explanation that makes sense.

Its funny because I heard them as the opening act to a Kamelot featuring Delain concert in April last year. I'm not sure what happened, but live, they sounded muddy to me and I couldn't figure out if it was the venue (I have my doubts, though, because both Kamelot and Delain were amazing) or if they just didn't play well that night for some reason because they have good music! My brother was sold on them pretty quickly. I needed more convincing, but I've since been sold, too. Hopefully one day I can hear them live again.

@farming4g
@farming4g 5 жыл бұрын
One of the main founders of Battle Beast (Anton Kabanen) was supposedly forced out of the band. Anton was in charge of majority of the aspects and it didn't sit well with other members. Henceforth, Beast in Black was formed and Battle Beast went on their own way. I can see why they like to bash on Battle Beast a bit, but doesn't mean their music is not good. I liked Bringer of Pain, thought it was a fresh album instead of the same thing... maybe not this album, but wouldn't be surprised down the line for future albums if they get back into some heavier aspects again. I think people want to see their name changed to something else, as they don't have that "battle" or "beast" title anymore. Albums don't have to be all insane, emotion and lyrics play a big role.... Who knows how well Noora's or even Yannis' (Beast in Black) voice will hold up long-term... they both put forth insane vocal capabilities... not unheard of to have vocal injuries.

I really enjoyed this song. Yes, it does lack the "grit" portion of what Battle Beast is known for. However, I think this is exceptional due to the fact that it is showing us that Nora can pull off any vocal style. The song is super catchy and while it maybe pretty bare bones basic, the instrumentation is orchestrated well!

Problem for me is this feels like it should have been a side project by the band, rather than falling into the BB catalog. Nothing wrong with change and experimenting but this really has nothing of what makes BB BB, it's crossed that line. It's not a bad song in itself but it doesn't feel right being thrown into the BB catalogue.

The trouble is, any female singer can sing like this. But very few can sing the way Noora usually does. It doesn't make sense that the band isn't exploiting her vocal advantage. The song's good it just doesn't sound like Battle Beast.

My dad started taking me to concerts when I was six. I'm 23 now and have seen quite a few great shows during the last 17 years, some of the best were from AC/DC, Rammstein, Nightwish and especially In Extremo. Yesterday I saw these guys in Pratteln Switzerland and during the two hours they played, all of the previous were dethroned. I loved seeing how much fun the band was having, it was a truly epic evening. I'm going to buy my ticket the second they announce another concert in Switzerland!

I see the darkness in your eyes I feel the spark of life go weaker in your restless soul I can hear your fading cries A relentless wail now going on And on When the tears are in your eyes You sing a drunken lullaby And the weight of the world Comes crashing on your spine Now remember what's inside The warmth that made you smile And rise up high Towards the golden sky Your eden Your eden Blood is gushing from your palms Your feeble heart is breaking, your soul reduced to ash Pictures racing through your mind Dearest memories from not so long ago When the tears are in your eyes You sing a drunken lullaby And the weight of the world Comes crashing on your spine Now remember what's inside The warmth that made you smile And rise up high Towards the golden sky Your eden Your eden Your eden Your eden Your eden Your eden Your eden Your eden Your eden Your eden When the tears are in your eyes You sing a drunken lullaby And the weight of the world Comes crashing on your spine Now remember what's inside The warmth that made you smile And rise up high Towards the golden sky Your eden

The songs God Is A 'Woman' and Dark Horse and I Am Not A Woman, I Am A God are about me, and the songs Pan and Whoever Brings The Night and Eva and Cadence Of Her Last Breath etc by Nightwish, Achingly Beautiful by CoF, Not Human Kind by Eyes of Eden, The Bee and Silver Bride by Amorphis, and Medusa by Tarja and the song Heart Of Glass etc are also some of the songs that were written about me, while the ClA also made sure to include subtle clues and references to me in many other songs as well! The songs Ghost And The Reaper and My Sweet Mystery by The Dark Element and the song Infinity are about me and my protector Chip, while the songs Cool For The Summer (written from my perspective) and Dangerous 'Woman' (written from Chip's perspective) and Confident (about how I sometimes see Chip as an enemy) are about my thoughts about my lover Chip. The songs Diamonds and When It All Comes Down and Neon Lights and Only Girl In The World and Euphoria and Alpha & Omega by Swarm and Young Gods and 34 + 35 (and all other similar lyrics that include words like down under and sweet and fruit/food/flower terms and big terms and cake etc) and many of the recent mainstream pop songs that include numbers and big terms and compIiments and food/fruit related terms etc are based on my story with my protectors, and the songs The Dark Element and Endless Forms Most Beautiful and Shoemaker and Endlessness and Digital Deceit etc include references to me, and the songs Yours Is An Empty Hope and Weak Fantasy and Tribal by NW and Kingdom Come and Paradise Of The Architect are about me and Chip and the new system, as are the songs Parasite by Anette and The Signal 🔥 and World Ablaze by KsE...

The songs Pan and Tribal are about me and the new system, and the new Nightwish lyric video for the song Pan also includes subtle symbolism about me, where they used Chess symbolism to show my importance (where the Queen element representing me destroys the pawns) and they also made references to me (The Sea Lady) and to the Total Planetary Reset ('Reset the world') which is to happen after the system is replaced, which means the entire planet is to be restructured/reset based on my projects...

I see people complaining about how its not heavy enough. I think its perfect. See I found these guys through Spotify because it was a band "Similar to Nightwish". Nightwish as most know is Symphonic metal. Yeah its metal but takes the edge off a bit. Its not so rough especially with the female lead. And I really enjoy more of the metal but more simple and not so heavy metal. This song is perfect for that. Im also into the wackier sounds of symphonic metal so King for a Day is also one of my favorites. But I hope they do more songs like this for people like me who arent so much into the blazing heavy metal and just screaming into the mic. Noora has a beautiful voice for music like this. I think they should have a healthy mix between music like this and the heavy stuff that most of the Battle Beast fans dig. Just my opinion. Are some of you guys like me and kind of like this stuff more than the heavy stuff?

A couple of observations I have made following the endless good vs bad argumentation about the NMHE album by BB: Many of those who are crying after Kabanen are still applauding the Bringer of Pain (2017) - forgetting that Kabanen got the boot as early as 2015. I like a LOT the From Hell with Love by BiB. Kabanen is an excellent composer with a strong vision how the music should sound. BiB is definitely the king of VERY narrow market niche of 80s vibe power/heroic/speed heavy metal, BUT - Is there any versatility and ability to reinvent something new? Battle Beast has proven they have that ability. It is a matter of opinion whether or not their evolved style is rock enough. After seeing them live in Turku, Finland (March 23rd 2019), I have to say that they rock like a hell. Particularly, the much-maligned “No more Hollywood endings” was extremely thundering - my whole body was resonating in time with the music! Even endless summer sounded good, believe or not! Noora’s powerful sound boosts every song to the next higher level. And yes, 15 out of 18 songs on the setlist were from post-Kabanen era. So, go and see then live, you will not be disappointed!
