I got my SR314 mic a few days ago. Wow, what a piece of art. Incredible build and sound quality. Tell us about your signal chain. Curious what preamps you're using and how you process to get your sound. Very nice job! Using the Apollo 8 you listed?
@worshiptutorials4 жыл бұрын
That mic is so good! I ran mine through the Warm Audio 273-EQ preamp and applied some EQ from that preamp. Then in Logic I used the API Vision channel strip to do most of the EQ on the vocal and one of the stock Logic compressors (the 1176). I need to do an updated vocal recording/editing chain video - I feel like I've gotten a lot better at producing vocals since I did that video last.

Great cover! Great guitar and vocals! I’m wondering if you used auto tune for vocals because your pitch sounded perfect?
@tgippp4 жыл бұрын
These videos are great, usually done in a key more singable for the common worship leader to learn and practice. Now just turn off the auto tune so we can hear what it would really sound like on a stage

Well done brother!!! :) Could you share your acoustic patch info for the Helix for this tone? Sounded great! Is it for sale?
@worshiptutorials4 жыл бұрын
I mic'd the acoustic for this video (I actually double-tracked it and panned each take in stereo) - there's not really anything that can replicate a mic'd acoustic direct. Our acoustic IR's are the closest I've ever come to it, though - you can use those in the regular Acoustic Helix patch. Thanks!

It feels like your guitar is moving between left and right. Is that just how you are processing the your DAW? Doubled track and different compressors?
@worshiptutorials4 жыл бұрын
I double tracked it with different mics and then panned the takes hard left/right. It makes everything sound way bigger.
