Can you talk about the amp draw from the TT? Thanks in advance. I'm still waiting on my boat and looking around for a good battery. Lynn

Lynn, I do not have any information on that. Possibly you can contact Freedom Electric Marine, the manufacturers of the TT. Welcome to the family! Gerry

@@LunkerFishing Got a quick response from Freedom electric Marine. Liz said 30 amps per motor. I'm assuming that max power.

@@lynbren, That is excellent information. I will pin this post to the comments to keep its at the top so others can see your research in case they want that information also. Gerry

Very thorough & detailed description as always in your videos Gerry!! Congrats on the upgrade to Lithium power! I’ll look forward to hearing how many hours of run time you get out of your new lithium on an individual trip. I see Frank & the folks at Twin Troller recently started offering a 45lb thrust verses our current 36lb thrust motors... I’m following that new offering with interest, thinking I may upgrade my motors. Hopefully someone will post soon about their experience with the 45’s over the 36’s. Thanks again for ALL the Great videos!!

Bill, I agree. I would like to hear about the new motors also. I too will be curious if the lithium battery can make a difference with the additional power stronger motors can need. Gerry

David, I just installed this and am waiting for the weather to clear to put the TT in the water to try it. I have heard and read many good things about lithium-ion batteries and especially about this brand of battery, so I am hopeful I will find this purchase to be a great thing. Stay tuned, I will be discussing this battery and charger as I get the chance to use it on the water. Gerry

Hi Gerry, another nice video. I have the Dakota Lithium 100 ah battery. It works great. Same weight as yours. I have fished 6 hrs straight with lots of trolling motor action and voltage never dropped below 13.3 volts. It was costly but worth the investment especially if your several miles from the landing. . Ps: I have my bilge pump switch mounted just like yours.

Larry, I looked at the Dakota batteries but settled on the Battle Born, mostly because of it's reputation and warranty. I am glad to hear you like your battery and that it works well. I thought that was a good place for the bilge pump switch and hopefully that works for you as well. Gerry

Jerry I was wondering if the original fish finder is connected to your lithium battery ?
@LunkerFishing2 жыл бұрын
Clinton, yes and no, my original fish finder is still wired to the main batter as it was from the factory. My main battery and my two batteries for the new fish finder and the GARMIN Live Scope are all lithium batteries. I do not have any lead/acid batteries any more. Gerry

30 amps per hour per motor X 2 = 60 amps per hour. 100 amps /60 amps + 1.66 hours run time at full throttle. 3.33 hours at 1/2 throttle. and 6 1/2 hrs at 1/4 throttle. That is a lot of run time on one charge, for those that have an issue with math. LOL

Your math teacher would be proud! 😂

Looks like Amazon is all sold out and has no info on when they will have this package again. It looks like a great idea plus it doesn't appear to be a marine specific battery like the lead ones are.

My Optima battery weighed around 70 pounds but the Battle Born is only 31 pounds. A big difference for a small boat. Gerry
