using a 2 handed flail will do the same as decapitating undead as it crushes their skull stopping them coming back if you use the head shot skill to finish them off

@@HauntingSpectre half the key to battle success is having the right equipment. Late game, a large portion of my inventory is various weapons and gear to to kit my crew out in specific ways for each opponent

@@GrimaldiJ Any tips on Armor succession? I started the game EEL Ironman Beastslayers and only allowed to hire Beastslayers, Witch hunters, Anatomists and Houndsmen for RP reasons. I'm on day 65 ish with a solid crew for once, but we're mostly in 115 mail still. Not sure whether to buy hauberks etc or what. Also got a bunch of nimble bros (Lots of high ini characters but no Fat ones) in Southern mail / Lamellar and not sure what to upgrade as for "Nimble" armor. Got a bunch of 140-200 helms too from raiding Caravans / A couple Fallen hero drops. Just body armor I'm not sure about upgrading.

@@HauntingSpectre First, in general, buying armor is very important, and usually a better deal than buying weapons. You can get good weapons from enemies pretty reliably, but armor is much tougher. Typically, I try to load up my regular (non-nimble) guys with as much armor as they can carry, until they hit about 80 fatigue. That gives them a few rounds of full combat before they start getting too tired. I buy hauberks, riveted mail...whatever my dudes can carry and I can afford. It keeps them alive and helps win fights, so it's worth it. Buying heater shields is important, too. An extra 5 melee defense (6 or so if they have shield expert) makes a big difference. As for lightly armored nimble bros...I've always avoided them in the past, so I'm just now experimenting with them. I'd think you go all in, with dodge, nimble, relentless and overwhelm when possible. Lightly armored and nimble without dodge and overwhelm (and high initiative) seems possible for back rank polearms perhaps, or pole/xbow hybrids, but would be tough I think in general.

I went to one place and I found the Golden goose says it's worth 3,000 crowns yet I was offered almost 5,000 crowns in one town. I haven't sold it yet.

You can use daggers (Secondary weapon) to stab 'weak points' and kill them without damaging the armor

Whips to disarm champions and knives is a good kit to help harvest armours

I think you can use range to dispatch geists easily, use bows instead of xbows

hit chance will always be 5% on Geist I think, so not very viable

Welp i didn't know that decapitating their heads prevented the necromancer from ressing them. I thought the idea was to rush him while dealing with the undead lol.

Rushing is a technique, but tough to do...especially with the really large undead hordes.

I just usually rush him with a tank. But late game, you can usually just out dps them

Wiedergangers can't be ressed. Fallen Heroes and Fallen Betrayers can resurrect by themselves, even decapitated.

How is this a beginner's guide when you have a company of heavily armed and armored troops, just easily killing hordes of undead?

In this video, I talk a bit about exploring locations generally. Sure, my guys are high level, but the principles still apply. Also, early in, I even mention that, because my guys are higher level, we can start gambling with exploring locations with no scouting report. Newer players with weaker teams shouldn't.
