1. He forgets the Squad Leader and the size of a squad (9-12) 2. The decision making process for how to flank is done by a combination of the Alpha Team Leader (lead element) and the Squad Leader. It is not decided off a whim by what Alpha Team alone thinks. 3. He fails to cover how Alpha Team returns fire. They do not stay in a wedge. They return fire, seek cover and concealment, while getting and staying generally “on line” with their point man (ATL). So they should all be on a horizontal line from one another. 4. He doesn’t cover how Bravo Team flanks. What formation do they take, how does the Bravo Team Leader control his element. He again fails from the start because the Squad Leader is the one leading this maneuver, followed by the Soldiers and lastly the Bravo Team Leader. He also doesn’t cover what Bravo Team is doing upon immediate contact. IE pulling rear security, getting into a half circle, dropping rucks, grabbing their water source, seeking cover etc etc. 5. All of this was within the first TWO minutes of the video. I’m gonna quit watching this now because it’s God awful and go back to WarHammer videos, but for follow on information that IS reliable. I recommend the University of Iowa’s ROTC video where they give actual classes or a Ranger Handbook.
