Flayzuh the mandator was made to defend kdy but as the fleet seen before with multiple sd's and the presence of the executor if the empire was to attack they would be defeated anyway and also along side that as shack only has about 6-7 capital ships depending on your definition he will need a the mandator to lead one or two fleets to secure the outer rim. One point to add to this if shack picks up some of the support fleet protect hoth and its surrounding systems he could start raiding there ship yards and space stations either just destroying the infrastructure or by taking the space to delay production of new sd's and victory classes which as shown at the battle over kuat are formidable.

If something was designed for a certain use, then fulfilling its original purpose doesn't limit it's use. That just makes no sense. And I never said it wasn't capable of planetary assault at all. I'm simply pointing out how the game describes it. It's purpose, its reason for being built was to protect the KDY in the first place. Plus, while it's great to bring it into planetary assaults for easy victory, at the same time (given AotR's infamously annoying AI) the Empire can and will amass a force to take back the KDY, as besides Yaga Minor and that asteroid planet (I can't remember it's name at the moment; and I don't even remember either if it's in this mod), it's one of the few (and arguably most important) capital ship production facilities the Empire has. Just saying, keeping it at Kuat could prevent the planet from being captured (or at least hinder the chances of it happening) for most, if not all of the war.

Okay, Shack I don't know if you'll read my comment but this guy is right. You should probably do the same thing you did with those light blue guys to the Hutts, they keep causing little disturbances so you should bring this new rapidly growing fleet of capital ships and now a Dreadnought and just annihilate them with it. Once you have their territory you'll have a sizeable chunk of the galaxy under your control as they seem to have the control over nearly the entire area separating your two little corners of the galaxy. Also it would give you some room to work with in the way of taking your focus more into defending from the Executor and the Black Suns.

Just another reminder, the Hapans aren't going to sit on their hands and wait for you either. Good news is is that once you conquer Hapes, you can construct their battledragons, of which are thorough bred capital ship killers provided you can keep the enemy in front of them. They'd make a fine addition to the overall damage output of the fleet, and their fighters can keep up with A wings pretty well too, more than enough to handle anything the empire or the suns can throw at you.

We heard that the Alliance took Kuat? One of the most important shipyards for the Empire has been taken by us? My men and I first thought is just a bunch on Imperial propaganda, but after hearing Lord Vader himself speaking on the matter, we knew it was true. This is a major win for the Alliance and a drastic blow to the Empire. Seriously, out first assault on a Core World is a success. My men and I threw a large celebration for this victory against the Empire. I am sure they shaken up from this. On another good note, we received a transmission from the Alliance. We heard that we have our own Super Star Destroyer class ship. The Mandator it was called. This new Capital Ship will increase the odds in any given space battle. I wonder if we now have a chance to take out the ISSD. My men and I are anxious to see it fly over Bothuwai. One the other side of things, we recently heard about General Kota in the Battle of Kashyyyk. His death hit me more than my men. He was the man that truly inspired me to join the fight against the Empire. He was my idol, and even my mentor when I first joined the Alliance. I promise with the Force that I will avenge his death. Here is a strat i came up with when playing this mod,I mostly have a fleet that is completely made up of free unit and it get's destroyed but in this mod the AI will then send it's forces to that area buying me time for my second fleet to go right threw their space stations depleting their money (Sometimes i got caught while destroying them and it was heavy losses for both sides)I also choose to capture capital ship yards because the AI love to spam capital ships if your blockade is to strong, what im trying to say is use free units to your advantage and always use cheap tactics Steinbeck John - "If you find yourself in a fair fight, your tactics suck."

Field report from Captain McMahon of the MC75 Frigate "Last Word". We're out of steam. Battle after battle, we keep shredding Pirate, Hutt, Hapes and Imperial capital ships alike, and where with the empire its understandable, the others can bring 5 more capital ships for every one we take out. The Black Sun's seemingly GROWING Fleet is even more baffling when i remember they're down to 13 systems, our outer rim campaign having finally paid off. On a slightly better note, we've got a foothold in the damn Core! General Organa and her commandos were able to help Cato Neimoidia rise up, and we took Kuat, and not through lack of trying, The Imps are gonna have a hard time getting us out now, even with those damn Improved AT-ATs. Hope and the will to push on are strong, we just need those B-wings. They can just melt their way through the enemy. End log.

Matthew Wiles The imps take our leftovers, this is true. But when it comes to quickly flattening the smaller third parties (non playables), you just have to use a rince and repeat maneuver. (This is no longer RP) Every non-playable faction has the same base setup in every planet; Faction base, Shutter Shield, Turbolaser Tower. The key is always to kill the power generator, your best bet for that is artillery. By the time you've located and destroyed the generator with the arty, you should be able to call in an air strike and maybe an orbital bombardment, so obviously do that. Then mop up the remaining enemy troops. A quick and low casualty way to do this is to use rebel officers, who each come with a wing of fighters. But try to keep them moving, as Black Sun Assassin units, Imperial Agents and bounty hunters are basically on constant look out for your officers, on top of sympathisers. Also the officers work like any of your special units (wookie warriors, rebel special forces....) in that you can only have a limited number (5) and can only replace them once they are ALL DEAD.

Freshly captured planets are easy to take back since tho the forces are built up in space the infrastructure isn't constructed yet. With orbital groups they can just run while you can just whittle the ground at your leisure. Glad you got an old dreadnought to ply your force for freedom with too. To bad it wasn't a Bellator you'll take what you can get amiright? P.s...I should state trekking to take back newly lost planets is Easy, usually. I've been pleasantly shocked at my response force dieing under withering for because I overestimated the empire/rebellion. The ground forces are usually at half strength by the time you get ban is what I was inferring now that i reread my post.

As an Imperial player, I can tell you that a problem with having bigger ships like the Mandator is that you don't get to fight many battles with it, the enemy retreats almost every time. Another problem is that it can only be in one place at a time, when you need it in every corner of the galaxy.

careful shack, you don't have the infrastructure to support a heavy defense of Kuat. Yes you could build those things but, you would stall your growth as you would make 1,000 to -500 credits a week. Good job, Shack. That was a great space battle. That ground auto-resolve was super-favorable, too. They had a lvl 3 Army HQ. Shack, Carracks are not specialized anti-fighter capital ships, Lancers are. I mean, Carracks aren't hopeless against fighters, but they're not specialized. I'd still take Sullust before they get their cap shipyards back. Even a raid should do the trick. Aargau is also very poorly defender, and is only 1 jump away from Coruscant. Black Sun can use corruption to bypass planets, remember.

Shack, I think a viable option for you is to split up your fleet with the mandator and wage a two front war with the sun in the north, or use a fleet to blockade and eventually take the hutt space, while another takes mandalore with help from your remaining forces in the north. then you will need time after the conquest to secure the territory you gained, you will lose some ships once you begin and you cant continue a major offensive for long as the rebellion doesnt have too many assets. and if you haven’t been paying attention, the forces from the empire and suns havent been that formidable and once you start to lose ships they will have an advantage over you in terms of numbers

I post this every episode but here we go again. Hey Shack, just some control tips: In space, while you have nothing selecting you can hold Ctrl and double click a unit to select all units of that class (so doing it to a fighter will select all X-wing, A-wing, Z-95 etc.), very useful for rebels with all your different fighter and bomber types (also works for cap ships too). Also when moving if you hold right click at the location you can pick a facing for you fleet, it's really useful for setting up behind a space station for defence. Also just remove corruption from your front worlds like Yaga Minor and leave it on your rear worlds so those rear worlds get a discount from the corruption. Also the Freedom class MC80 has no fighters so be careful with how many your building.

Something I think is worth noting Shack, not all corvettes in this mod are meant for anti-fighter support, or at least are not entirely focused on it. For example, the CR90's you use have two turbolasers and not a whole lot of laser cannons, so they're better at adding extra firepower to against big ships then battling fighters. The CR90's used by the Black Sun and most minor factions are modified to have extra heavy firepower and armor, making them even less effective against fighters. You can identify those modified ones by their black engine section and grayer overall color scheme. Carrack's are also more for fighting larger ships than fighters, but the thinner and more lightly colored Lancer cruisers are the Empire's best anti-fighter ship.

Awesome work, that ship was worth taking Kuat, what was lost is easy to recover, imo. Using the other fleets you should be able to face the cartels. I would take the big fleet to Kamino and would try to build defenses there to face the empire in that system with an ion to mess up the ssd.

Gotta say, taking Kuat was gutsy. Definitely epic. Recommend you upgrade the camp there ASAP and try and putin a factory as well. Don't remotely try and mess with the orbit, just go ahead and defend on the ground. Also recommend youclear the back end and take the rest of the Corporate Sector Space. That means you can redeploy your space units there to other fronts, and then go to make a line to deal with the Hutts. CSA should make a nice bunch of credits from trade routes and you don't have to worry on garrisonin it that far back. Then hopefully you can take out Gammorea and secure your spacelanes there.

Also, if you lock the S-Foils of B-Wings, they can still launch their Proton Torpedoes. They murder subsystems on ISD's with ease. 2-3 Quasars + their upgrade to B-Wings and A-Wings makes capital ships shudder.

Shack you should use your new SSD to clear and hold mandalore. Then the areas around it. That planet is like a hub/staging point to attack you and it's easy to defend when you take it!! ALSO add around 20 Bwing squads to your liberation fleet. Use your capitalships as sensors then use all the Bwings against the executor. They will completely annihilate it

You were originally going to take the Imperial Ship Yard and then pull back. You can use those ground forces to take back the territory you lost. THEN you should finish off the Hutts & Hapes.

What I recommend is just to hold down around the core worlds against the empire and attack the hutts and Sun with your Mon Calamoria fleet. Then make pushes for the empire. Secure outer rim

Use the new mandator to take out the southern flank and try to take out the SSD and other Dad's. Use flanking maneuvers to take out the engines and shield generators. Love the series and this game to. For the Rebel Alliance.

Kuat is a smart move against the empire, recommend Trubo lasers over shield generator I play as an imps and prefer fire power over defenses and your rebel camp has been made. I would focus more on the Hapes for now they have little to no defenses and your ground forces are already in that area making it prime for taking, check up in the north if you can build mines yet I am not sure if you can, but continue your campaign in the north to finally get the rest of your forces to the front line. The Black Sun are corrupting your planets mostly in the Tingel arm that needs to be dealt with if you are to get more ground forces and more ships, you were once pulling 7000 a week but are back down to 4000 due to corruption. Saluecami was taken due to no rebel camp on the ground.

If you take your dreadnoughts to a planet with a medium shipyard you can retrofit them as either alliance light cruisers or alliance assault cruisers.

Vibrant green lasers fired from a space station orbiting Kuat. Like bugs, X-Wing and Y-Wing fighters evaded the energy weapons fire. In the distance whale like Mon'Cal cruisers made their approach, hamming at the Delta shaped Imperial Star Destroyers that stood in their way. Meanwhile the rest of the galaxy watched, via a live feed. People crowded around their holo projectors, or filled city streets. There was a shared long held breath among many watching. Then in spectacular fashion Kuat's main orbital space station was destroyed along with the defending fleets. A cheer filled the galaxy. People were celebrating in the streets. In Kuat's capital city the slogan, "Restore the Republic, rang throughout the streets. Imperial monuments were ripped down. The Stormtrooper units deployed to quell the unrest found themselves overwhelmed. The riots soon escalated into full on battles. At some communication outpost an Imperial officers was cursing his men out, as they were unable to cut the transmission. At the Rebel Alliance's command center over Mon'Cal the rebel leadership had a much more relieved and somber tone. This had been quite the gamble. A few of the Alliance's leaders had objected to committing so many key assets to a single battle. Though now that it had paid off they could not argue with the results. This though then lead to more argument and debate. Now that they had taken the Empire's main shipyard some argued now was the time to strike deeper into the heart of the Empire: a campaign to take Coruscant. Still others said that they should simply dig in and hold the Empire to a standstill. As the Alliance command fell into political squabbling, the criminal underworld began to mobilizes. The space pirates knew a good opportunity when they saw one. Indeed they would be quite fools to miss out on seizing the weakly defended, resource rich, Outer Rim plants held by the Rebellion.
