Phenomenal. Garegga is still my white whale. I haven’t tried the game since it humbled me into making two videos talking about failure. I’ve come very far as a shmupper since, and think now it would just be the time investment to knock it out. Love seeing your clears, your flight style is entertaining and your nerves at the end were something of a legend. The low rank strategy is very interesting! Congrats, ggs, here’s looking towards your next clear!

I wish I could bottle up the way I played at the last boss 😂 The great thing about the low rank strat is that it frees up your mind, you’re not worried about the options or medals and as such you don’t punish yourself constantly for missing them (which I was doing when trying that strat). That effectively ruined my mental game so I’d go into the harder sections with a more negative attitude (& higher rank 😂). Losing all that freed me, knowing I could consistently get to stage 6 & have fun doing so meant the pressure wasn’t on at all. I could do runs like that all day, then roll the dice on stage 6&7. I just got lucky that the dice fell in my favour pretty early on 🍀

Unbelieveable! I've been playing this off and on for a couple of years and still haven't made it to stage 7. The low rank strat seems to be pretty powerful... but I just love picking up medals too much. Massive congrats!

Release yourself from the medals, the chain is a construct designed to hold you back 😂 All jokes aside, the no medals, no options till stage 5 boss just frees up so much, so you can focus on dodging and consistency. I’ve made it to stage 6 regularly in the last few practice sessions, then after grinding stage 6 a bunch yesterday the clear just fell rather cheekily in my lap 😅 The fufuchicken route is op in my opinion 🤘

@@VinuShmup i can’t quite believe it either haha It’s all I’ve been thinking (& dreaming) about recently but to get a clutch clear like this is kinda unbelievable 😅 Saved myself some anguish for sure, thought I’d be having fun after run at Blackheart 2, nevermind Glow Squid! I’ll take it though - very happy with my dodging today 🥳

Congrats, that was some serious skill! I started chipping away at the game yesterday and I love it but also find it quite brutal. Seems like it's going to take a lot of practice and focus, regardless of rank control strategies. What was your experience with the game?

@@letsblocking cheers dude, all the shmup stars aligned for that bit of the run 😂 I played a few credits at Arcade Club recently, and cleared Premium Mode maybe two years back, but I started trying for the 1cc at the end of August. I think this strategy makes stages 1-5 super straightforward, although I think trying for medals for a while first helped me a bit. I could easily have missed this boss and have been trying still to clear tbh - I’d done quite a bit in practice but I know it could’ve been very different at the end! You’ll manage it in no time, you just gotta figure out the right strat for you - I will say practicing this game was kinda tricky, especially early on. But it does kinda click when you get your strat together. Good luck dude, may the shmup stars align for you too 🤘

@@scowsh Thank you! I don't mind investing the time, even if it takes a while. The complexity makes it difficult to tell if it's within my skill level or not. I should have more time to invest in it from November onwards and will try my best!

Low rank or not that was a rough set of patterns on Glowsquid, nerves of steel for that whole ending. Also that extend in the middle of the winder 👀

@@Chinopolis sometimes fortune just favours a run. I think this was that run for me haha I’m watching it back now not really believing that stage 7 happened as it did. I heard that life pop then thought ‘oh I’ll try dodging the wonder now…’ - why?!? 😂 Not having a backlog of heartbreak baggage helped with glow squid, I just went for it pretty much.

Black Heart II I've only managed to shit on him 5 times and he's peed on me many times
