ShadeMan's chip wasn't an event chip in in BN4, it was always naturally available in the game after completing the Boktai sidequest in Undernet 4. You just need to encounter his Omega fight randomly in the same location. You never needed to cheat for it. The only event chips in 4 were Prix Power and Duo. His DS chip in BN4 is also boosted by Dark Holes (10 total needed for max power) just like any other DS chip, and its base and max power will be the same as the SP chip. This is true of all Navis in 4.

That's why I like S code in 5. Because you get access to 4 PA's including Shademan's.

Also AIRHOCKEY WOOOOOOOO, some vulcan stuff iirc, those both go nicely with +dmg chips in a folder. S with a few individually strong chips to fill gaps is my go-to in BN5, it's just so solid and doesn't take tons of farming. Area Grab is also very nice here, as usual.

at times like these, megaman 7's shademan stage's command code to replace the song with a remix of ghost 'n goblins.

My issue with it is that it isn't a good version of the Ghosts 'n Goblins theme. Shade Man's stage is huge and has some pretty neat mechanics like the moon phases, but all anyone remembers about it is that you can put in a code to play the Ghosts 'n Goblins theme

Are you mistaking it to mean Battle Network 7? Cause the normal series goes higher than 7, iirc they're on 11

Yea, I have never had anything related to boktai, yet I still got to get his chip in BN4 normally.

I think he's referring to the in game event crossover with Boktai. Shademan cannot be fought again until the sidequest is cleared for the first time. I don't think the event was locked anywhere. Tough chip to get, though!

@@Astrogeon He literally says "you can't get it in game without cheating". That's just plain not true at all, even in the original carts. The Boktai side quest is present in BN4 and that's how you get the chip.
