6:30 chemical weapons usage was induced by some official / commander of LDNR russian forces. That guy publicly appealed to russian strategic chemical weapons command, which officially was disbanded many years ago. (off course, russian claim that navalny was not poisoned qith nerv gas by them). And in few days after chemical weapon was used on limited scale. BTW, those LDNR commander, who basically announced that usage of chemical weapons, dissappeared later.

@@samburdge9948 russia can't empty its borders, and move everything to ukraine... And they already committed their best troops and equipment that have sustained extensive losses already. Mobilization also have a huge political cost for putin, as that will show this "operation" is going very very badly and isn't just an operation anymore. If Russia had, done this from the very beginning. I wud agree it wud be game over for Ukraine. But with the time Ukraine has been gaining with holding on, and still isn't deprived from taking the initiative. And more capable, heavier equipment and weapon system is arriving to Ukraine each day. And the mobilization is getting further completed each day. Zelenskyj said himself that the Ukraine army is counting 800k now, that was about 230-280k in total at the beginning. And he is prepared to raise that number to minimum 1mill, and 1.5mill if needed. Putin has made it very difficult for himself. And he have to destroy his entire army in Ukraine to win...

The chancellor tried to calm the Austrian population after he committed the installation of an infamous mandatory vaccination law. Also he is the non-elect successor of another non-elect successor of the elect chancellor, since there were big corruption scandals which are still unfolding - his entire surrounding (including the whole cabinet) is dubious. Back when Austria didn't fall in line with the other EU-countries to sanction Russia over the Salisbury incident it lead to a rise in popularity of the government; indicating that Austrians would love to normalize the ecological relations with Russia. The present day chancellor knew about this and thus made a tactical move at the low of his popularity.

Sadly, this timeline isn’t strange. Not for the reasons OP thinks, at least. War and imperial aggression are historical norms dating back to the Achaemenids. The past 75 years of peace in Europe have been an anomaly, not the norm. The only strange thing about the current timeline is that most of Europe stands United behind Ukraine, rather than factionalizing. We spent seventy years in a historical abnormal. Now comes the time to fight to keep it.

@@James-sk4db You're assuming war isn't costly? Even IF Russia send 40k for some smart big brain strategy, one can really wonder what advancement could've been made by that sacrifice in terms of morale, manpower and financial cost to an already battered and isolated economy. Not-Russian correspondence is also not automatically "the West". I think most people who try to assess the situation with as little bias as possible question the efficacy with regards to the Russian advances on multiple fronts. What I'm assuming is the following: Russia overestimated itself while underestimating Ukraine. The rest of the world basically overestimated Russia's capabilities an were surprised by Ukrainian resistance. If Russia actually wanted to look incompetent and weaker than previously assumed, then they are winning!

So many great videos about historical and modern wars. Thanks guys for all your work. It is fascinating to see how strategies are impacted by logistics as well as technological advantages on top of other factors now just as it was in Caesar’s, Napoleon’s, and other wars. Being a veteran I torn between knowing that most of the combatants are under the age of 30 and most probably didn’t grow up thinking “I hate Ukrainians” or “I hate Russians”. I imagine it’s always been like that.

Very nicely done, the analysis is truly a competent one. But where from did you get all those specifics (placements of military brigades at a certain date, what detachments were involved in particular offensive / defensive operations, etc.)? :) Details of such kind do not get revealed to general public yet...

@Peoples Republic of Ninj Nah. Ukrainian Armed Forces never inform about locations of their units, types and titles of those units, their movements, or on outcomes of local battles at specified location (in fact, that is totally prohibited even for journalists and can be severely punished according to the martial law). Russians do neither (they almost never provide concrete information about current events at the battlefields at all).

@@tobytoxd The information is too specific to be collected from such sources (which brigade moved where at a certain day, what was an outcome of battle, etc.). There r sites where can follow live (or most real-time as possible) & see what Battalions, Companies, etc. for both sides at each spot along the lines Other couple sites I watch, r updated 2-4 times a day with a click highlighting area holding, then click forward or back & see what has happened (will highlight movement of each side) I don’t like to add links to other sites in comments, as not appropriate ! But it’s pretty cool when can see how along a 5 mile front say, how one side or another has gained ground or lost If u search u will find them, some r less updated then others (might show day b4 along Front) Add Dennis to search best I’ll do But this site is one of my favourites It is great that u did a good summary at this point Was hoping would come little closer to present date, but I can imagine how much work is involved :) Just makes me look forward to ur next update :) Keep it up ! P.S. ur History videos really allow us to follow as if we r in the Planning room getting updates & we r in the middle of the Action, great job to the whole team 😎🇨🇦

21:40 Could you remove the Gepard system from this chart. It contains the list of systems that were provided, so it does not make sense to mix it with German promises. Especially that we know later they said they do not have ammo for them and they will send only part of them on only much much later. It is still unclear if Germany is willing to send them or only creating PR for themselves. You fell into the German trap of reporting promises as deliveries. Technically you mention it was not delivered, but Gepard should not be on the chart at all.
