@@Camel-from-Arabia I was in my mid-late teens when the LOTR movies came out in theaters. I can't imagine a bigger theatrical experience, except for maybe the original star wars. The star wars prequals were obviously huge, as well as Harry Potter, even the first Matrix movie, but the LOTR series topped everyting for me. It was an awesome erra for cinema

It was a indirect glimpse of a references that Legolas gave to Gimli in the road to the Sanctuary (when the Dunedain of Arnor meets with the Rohirrim) where Gloinson wishes to have support from their respective folks, but the Thranduilson say that we were facing already the wrath of War in Lorien, Mirkwood and Erebor.

The first volley from the elves went BETWEEN the troops on the parapets. Only elves would have tried that. Or crazy people. Like in 1971, on the Mekong, firing a .50 between some good guys shagging back to their taxis. I was a good shot back then, and a .50 can kill at two miles. Charlie respected Brownings.
