He's a great actor but his entire character was wasted potential cliche. Aw could have tried something original like having spacey be a good guy doing terrible things for the greater good. Maybe having him responsible for black op missions that instigate a proxy wars that ultimately kills hundreds of thousands but does indeed leave a stable dictatorless country with the a chance of a democracy.The core of the campaign could have been hope for the future.Spacey's character should've been ruthlessly determined to find meaning in the death of his son. Instead of the ridiculousness that was (insert pinky & the brain here) its time to take over the world.

@@symounmiguelbago7265 I'm not sure if I'm "lucky" it's always a war zone every few years or few decades, anyway you can watch videos of Baghdad in the internet if you want to see how it looks Baghdad now is a crowded city with over 8 million people living here The government doesn't seem to care about providing essential life services, sometimes we get no water to wash with, no stable electricity even after the corrupted government had spent billions of dollars in this case only, and of course it's completely occupied by Iran and US right now and they're sort of fighting for it In Iraq there's no law, the Irani militias rule here to kill,rob and blow people as they like but there's still some nice places here that are safe and beautiful regardless Baghdad can really vary from looking like a beautiful calm city to a hell hole while moving between towns or even between days, however it has a great history since it was once the world's largest city and the hometown of all science and wisdom, it was the capital of the great Abbasid caliphate one day!

It's not really a good point. His speech is a parody of WWI where many countries believed that if they fight a war to "end all wars" then all power struggles will end because only one side will dominate the world and end all resistance. This mindset is what eventually got Hitler into power because France and England were very unfair to Germany (believing Germany would never be a threat), and so the Germans radicalized leading to ANOTHER world war just shortly after the first one just ended.
