Right on man, thanks for the sub! I agree, the Manix is a better knife but not by much. One thing I forgot to mention in the video is, the Grip doesn’t have full liners and the Manix does. So the Manix just feels more solid.

I have the mini griptilian with the sheeps foot blade. One of my favorite knives at the moment. I made it super sharp.

I like to open my 550 by pulling it out of my pocket and without changing my grip from pulling it out, give it fairly robust downward motion almost as if I’m hitting the ground with a stick. The blade pops open into position and your ready to go. I recently grabbed a Ritter RSK on sale and holy mackerel it’s nice. Feels like just a better version of the Griptilian. Now I’m wanting the g10 Manix bad!

I'm ridiculously torn between the two knives, the griptilian has a much better blade shape in my opinion I just wish it had the finger choil like the manix. As for actions/locks I think both of them are plenty strong enough for day to day use, like you said were not chopping down small trees. I think I'm going to give it to the griptilian simply for the fact that I trust the thick blade tip more for my day to day use (diesel mechanic). I'm gonna order the griptilian & upgrade the scales to something a little more tasteful.

I think that’s a pretty good choice. I’d say the biggest difference is the blade thickness. Manix is more slicey, Grip is more tough. I don’t like the plastic handles on the Grip, but if you’re planning to change them anyways, not a problem. I am doing a “how did it hold up?” video on the Grip soon, I’ve been hard using it almost every day for quite a while now. I’m actually impressed with BM’s S30V, the edge retention is pretty damn good. Anyways, enjoy it my dude! 🤠
