I absolutely agree - they are incredibly dangerous adversaries and in my opinion the best Necro units. True, they do not have good morale and cannot be blessed, but they do not get bad morale and cannot be cursed either. Double damage is great ability and does not manifest too rarely. Plus, DK are immune to Berserk, Blind, Gorgon's death stare, etc. Actually, I think they are one of the contenders for top Lvl 6 unit overall.

I'm lacking costintency in this. You ignore availability for Wyverns and rate them bad, yet you put cyclops above the upgraded version because of availability. Same was on the T5 list with bulls. You need to decide, either take all factors into consideration for each creature or rate them just based on how good they are regardless of availability.

well, there are so many variables...tier list tends to miss them..numbers can be a good average but they can also miss a lot...just like people who only look at dps parses. for example in Smite u have dmg dealt, dmg taken...but u don't have how many skill u juked...how many times u took enemy to focus on yourself...how many abilities did u bait out... and in heroes, these variables change based on resources u have, the stage of the game, the enemy, how big is the map, how many resources u can get, how many heroes is it worth making...and when all these come together it would be a miracle if u won't miss something about it

I think if you listen to his explanation carefully, you will realize that he takes both quality of units and availability into account. If he came up with a quantitative matrix and gave ratings to 5 decimal places accuracy, maybe the order of units may shift around a little bit, but he did say it is a subjective tier list right at the beginning. Come on man, show this guy some love. That guy is super good at his game, consistently put out contents and is so cheerful to a point that he would laugh when getting chain blinded by unicorn. Ah yeah! That's somewhat relevant, should have mentioned that. Whenever you fight them they sometimes resist expert slow which is annoying, when you shower them, they often resist etc. It doesn't change my rating but true, something i should mention. :)

I would rate wyverns at least A tier. No other tier 6 units can be reliably recruited in week 1 and start helping the main hero clearing the map. If you have a few dragonfly nests nearby, you can quickly accrue a relatively sizeable stack and be way ahead of your opponents.

I think the reason Enchanters have such weird stats, is because they're meant to replace Arch Mages in Dracon's campaign. I couldn't tell you why they're tier 6, but I think they were only thought up for the campaign, and then they just made it into the main game cause people would ask for it if they didn't or something like that.. So they're probably just weak because they're meant to mimic Magi somewhat closely but with a twist.

My favorite use for Scorpicores is to use small amounts and attempt to hax a powerstack with their paralyze. When you use three stacks of 1-2, you will get it sooner or later and your hero can ignore CC and go for damage, elementals or whatever. Unicorns can do the same but they are slower and don't fly, so don't work as well at this.

@@musclus3769 Most of Inferno's units are not bad at all actually. That's not exactly why the town sucks. Magogs in Hota(you can decidee what hex to shoot) are solid, Cerberus is near the top of it's level, Demons are super average(if you're good at farming, they will be very powerful), Pit lords are offensively the strongest unit after Minotaurs & their ability is great, Efreeti are like a top3 unit of it's level with great utility, Arc Devils can be insanely good. Get even 1 devil or arch devil & conquer the whole map with some help from spells. No other unit can really do that with just 1 of them. Familiars are useless of course, & town has a serious lack of hp, & starts pretty slow(faster than Necropolis usually though). It could be balanced, & i hope that happens 1 day.

So why would I care if their quality per unit is lower when I'll still win? If anything, they should be rated even higher than other stackable units like demons and skeletons, because unlike them, they're not a slow, useless infantry unit but a flyer that can cross the field in 1 turn and has a very decent ability.

Situation with cyclops is similar to that with Mighty Gorgons - too much resourses and long tech tree. Also Behemoths have easier bulding order to achive them and are better so almost always have prioryty over Cyclops. So in real life in real game on templates in HotA how often You would build Cyclops Cave? I suppose not too often, usually only to upgrade huge stack of them from Pickets, where You can get 4-12 of them. So there is no point in grinding for that cyclops in town.

I think this was the tier list I disagreed with the most - but we have very different approaches to the game since I'm mostly a solo-impossible player and you're a competative-multiplayer. My two big points are that I feel like cyclops' are rated too high and war unicorns too low - I feel like cyclops are low B tier and war unicorns are at least A tier myself. I'd also probably move efreet sultan to A tier and magic elemental to B tier. I also feel like black knights are more valuable/better than champions but they're both A tier. Other than that I think I agree. Naga Queen is the queen of tier 6 and a powerstack has single handedly carried many games.

Never thought of this until just now, but a way to make cavaliers/champions more useful is to combine them with the teleport spell. Teleport them away from your target and then have them rush back in for a full jousting bonus hit.

Eh, I think you gain 1 attack for every hex they they move. Even if they gain , lets say 14 attack(base movement + expert haste), that would still not be very good of a cast taking in consideration you could cast offensive spells, or just cast Frenzy to get a way bigger boost, or possibly bless.

You didnt mention the poisen abillity of the Wyvernnnmonarchs. In my opinnion one of the best abilitys in the game because it decreases the max hp of a whole stack. 10 % for each tick of poisen, Ever fought vs 30 Black Dragons with only 210 hp per dragon? So even if the monarch dies his debuffs remain. For me S tier unit with the speed dmg and build path

S Tier are: Efreet, Naga queens, Dread Knights. A tier: Monarchs Wyv, Champions, Enchanters, W Unicorns, Cyclops kings ( due to difficult for build, othwerwise they are top ranking) nix warrior. Nix are not so Strong, not even close to Naga, Efreet and Dreads. Dreads Knight are insane, lot of stats, and duble damage sometimes can kill quite an entire stack of the same grade units. Efreets are broken, lot of speed, good stats, fire shield and fire immunity, the more versatile 6 tier units, and maybe one of the best unit in the game. Nix are good in defense, but they are not brilliant in anything else, bad in offense. Even War unicorns with defense magic aura is much more usefull than Nix in a serious fight.

You need to realize other units will hit Nixes so much softer due to their ability. This means they will legit beat some offensively stronger units than them. They can beat about half of the other units. they beat unicorns 1on1 for example, which is impressive. Nixes with Tazar... dear lord...

Unicorn has more speed ( 9 against 7 is a lot), this mean more versatile, he has 20% chance to blind a total stack of everything ( veri good skill, he can stop a full stack of even strongest units) and he can save other friendly stacks from negative spells. The only thing Nix can do is tank something, but he is quite slow, he moves last and can do nothing but attack, without causing even good damage. His attack is ridiculous compared to nagas and knight, and his skills are useless in front of speed and skill of other lv 6 like efreets or Unicorns

@@4rgenn Disagree, because whether you fight pvp or not, you will still fight against the map more than players. Against map that -60% & 17 defense(used to be 20!) is a very big deal. Dragon utopias etc. are so convenient with Nixes. Offensively they are like Wyverns etc. but will do more damage back to other units because of their skill. Not a bad unit at all for final fights. 7 Speed isn't very good, but that's where spells need to help. Or tactics etc. Never had Nixes with Tazar, but i already know they would be immortal. I think they deserve +1 speed. And maybe cost a little less.

Great content as always, but why do you rank Magic Elementals so low? These guys deal full 360º AOE damage with no retaliation. They also retaliate for full AoE, if the enemy clumps up these guys can hit multiple stacks at the same time while ALSO being immune to magic themselves, so your opponent can't do much about them AND you can meteor shower right on top of them. I think they deserve A, B at the very least.

It is strange how fortress was built in HOMM3. I understand the basilisks having a stoning ability. But honestly, death stare should have gone to the wyvern monarchs because ancient wyverns in MM7 and MM8 both have a death ability. Gorgons did not make an appearance until MM8 and if I'm not mistaken all they are capable of is turning players to stone or possibly paralyzing them. Lower level wyverns in the MM games just cause poison

it's because of their speed, damage, and tankiness overall. Add jousting bonus which boost their damage makes their passive more consistent than Dread Knights' death blow. Also, wood isn't that expensive compared to g/c/m/s, which makes them more available than Angels in poor resource map.

Really surprised lexi was so...benevolent ! :D I remember the "fights" with my best friend ; him shitting on the cavaliers, because he was a necro & tower player (and of course, liking his town's T6 units). I agree with all of your tier video lists, except for the enchanter. Enchanter is by far a tier 7 unit, it is ranged, and a spell caster, which has the potential to save you from casting a spell itself. If it casts haste, you win.

I love Enchanters, and would love to agree with you. But sadly, the RNG makes me disagree. What if they cast Bloodlust, and then get targeted by the enemy? You're not gonna have alot of them, so they will PROBABLY die within the first 1 or 2 hits, and then you're left with a useless buff, and a corpse. That said.. If you can protect them, and they cast one of their better spells, I'd honestly consider them one of the best units in the game for my personal liking

Playing rashka and focusing on early efreet sultan stacks is the key to playing inferno for me

LMAO :D Any shooting unit is good, but that does not make cyclops A tier automatically. On their own they will bleed hard and overall require as much attention as any other power stack. Who cares if they are tanky if tanking is not their job. Also who cares if they are available in big numbers when You very rarely build them in Your castle. And if Wyvern are so bad why are they main power stack in circa 60% of PvP and You can build their dwelling day 2 to clear swamp areas without problems. I can understand different approach in different tiers (Skellies vs Demons) but contradictory rating in the same Tier? Bruh!

😅 Wivern monarchs, 70 hp and the super awesome mega great 18-22 damage makes it before champions which have 100 hp, stupid big damage and cost 100 gold more :)))) 😂.

And in front of dread knights which have 120 hp and does 15-30 damage with a chance of double damage. Also + 4 to attack and defense. The only drawback being that they have -2 to speed and dont fly. They also cost 400 gold extra.

ye but scorpicors have almost same stats, same speed, are flying too and are lowest C unit for some reason. idk if poisonous is that much better than paralyze or what edit: I guess build path carries wyverns

Nixes ignore attack, Behemoths ignore defense. It's normal, behemoths will ignore nixes's defense skill, nixes will ignore behemoth's attack skill.

I'll leave my take on this for the KZbin algorithm: Firstly this is based on your pvp experience in general like you stated so we assume every category is included like accessibility, versatility and other miscellaneous categories. Now lets look at Cyclops and wyverns first, you rank cyclops very high despite inadequate stats because they are accessible through a creature bank which makes total sense, and they are very strong in high number which you can achieve early on. Their upgraded version on the other hand are quite bad because you have to go through a painful, expensive and useless build path which also makes sense. Wyverns on the other hand you ignore accessibility and rank them purely on stats, but this list in not only based on stats. Because of their accessibility and easy snowball potential this will easily bypass everything else in terms of usefulness/strength in numbers. Looking at cavaliers/champions and black knights/dread knights you rank a creature higher, despite having much lower stats because they are "seen" more in pvp, but this is only applied to a few templates because Castle lacks mage guild level 5. Dread knights as a unit far outshines every other T6 creature except for nix warriors in large quantities and with massive stats, which is usually only achieved in "clash of dragons" template. They even beat naga queens 1v1 in semi - large numbers, less expensive and are more useful early on as a tank or against "ranged guards" and you don't even need to upgrade them. Furthermore you rank Efreet sultans as S because it maxes out mobility and strategy which is usually better than stats and brawl capabilities, but you place "Magic elementals" in C tier and say they are bad at brawling which is untrue. Only a few T6 creatures can out brawl them, but they are less versatile. This is ofc your subjective list, but there are some inconsistences with how you rank units based on what categories are involved and how much they matter.

Ok black knight fanboi :< Efreeti has a favorable build path and are vital to Inferno gameplay, unlike the magic elementals, which are a total pain to build and you usually never do that in almost any scenario. As for cyclops vs wyverns, i value cyclops independantly of their super high availability, as actual good threatning ranged units. Very valuable compared to almost any other shooter in the game. Unlike the wyvern they are not carried by their sheer ubandance, but are good as an actual unit, in my opinion. And why does castle mage guild matter when comparing dreads vs cavaliers? I prefer cavaliers because of their nicer build path, them being cheaper and them not being shadowed by other good strats. Anyhow it is perfectly okay for you to prefer some units over others! You attacking me on stream over my choices was really not cool tho.

@@ghastlygibus2121 Dread Knigts are an average units. True they have a lot going for them, but they have plenty of disadvanages too. For one, they are absurdly expensive, both their hive and their price is so high your opponent will be enjoying tier 7 units by the time you can afford them. Secondly, they are undead, which means many buffs and important tactical spells like bless and frenzy will not work on them. That is particularly a big issue with them BECAUSE they are so expensive and strong. A unit this valuable would benefit immensily from spells such as bless but instead you just have to risk dealing 15 minimal damage every time you attack, while your opponent can blesses/frenzy his unicorns/champions or whatever and deals twice that every single turn. You could say - well, they can double strike, but that's completely counterbalanced by them not being able to have morale. DK's will at times attack for double damage, but so will every other tier 6 creature with a bit of morale too. And thirdly, they are INFANTRY. That's the most useless enemy type on the battlefield, by far. Every single siege they'll be just kissing the town's walls and being useless, and every they'll be slowed and kited to death on open field more often than not too. DK are expensive, can't get core buffs or morale, and are just another useless infantry unit next to MVPs such as Wyvern Monarchs, Efreet Sultans, Cyclops and Enchanters. Combining that with their excellent stats, they are just average in total. I'd put them in B class.

Their dwelling and build path is average, their cost is a little bit higher than average, and the fact that they are undead makes them better, they can't get berserked, anime dead is broken spell, you will know that you won't missmorale, double damage is brutal and opponent most of the time have like +1 morale which also has a lot less chance of happening than double damage and curse, curse can also be pretty good, but being fair most of the time it doesn't do anything.

wyvern build path & price is 1000% better than manticores and can act like birds for stronghold in the early game, imo c tier But still enjoying your list videos

K this is the first list where i actually hard disagree on many things. For me IMO: First of all Nix in S tier what? They are walking unit, low speed doesnt provide what cove needs , cant find more on the map and they lack both the main attribute of Homm3 as in both low speed and low damage. I really think its hard to justify putting them any higher than B tier maximum. Champion for me is straight S tier. The fact that you can upgrade them on stables for free which is avilable and numerous on almost EVERY template makes them high demand. Also their scaling due to double damage with hexes is just CRAAAAAAAAZY valuable and scales super well. Elementals: THey are special in that case if you find a dwelling and get a powerstack from them due to their magic immunity its nigh impossible to deal with them. They are THE statcheck unit as powerstack. If you hvae more you win simple as that the enemy doesnt really have any chance to outmanouver you with magic and the fact tehy deal AOE makes it really hard to physically block them with split units. I'd rate them solid B tier.

Why are you talking about Nix Warriors when you never used them? Why do you hate Cove so much? It seems like you never played Cove before, but come on man, trust me it's a fun faction, why aren't you trying it for once? Aside jokes, I have absolutely no idea how you could say this about Nix Warriors when you used them against a mighty hero, I'm not making this up, many times you deal 10x less damage to them than normally, most of the time in Final Fights they easily have the health of a tanky Tier 7 unit. Really good build path, tanks for Pirates, cheap and cost efficient, when you have this much going for you as a Tier 6 unit you don't need that much damage and speed.

I think scorpicores should be rated at A tier - they have better stats than wyvern monarch + their ability is better. While it can be troublesome to find terrain for them I think fact that their ability to literally put enemy creatures out of play with paralyze is giving huge advantage unless your enemies have undeads and elementals.

Their damage is weaker though. At 18-22 for the monarch versus 14-20 for the Scorpicore. The Scorp have +2 to attack and +10 HP though.

I just can't understand why are Wyverns so underappreciated by Lexiav. They carry almost every single game I roll with Fortress SUPER HARD. The fact that you can buy them at day 1 and that you can farm them both from unit lairs AND from hives makes them absurdly relevant, they should easily be S tier, and their upgrate should be number 1 of all units. Who cares if Naga Queens or any other units are stronger 1 vs 1, before your opponent will purches a single one of these units, you'll be raiding them with 20 of your own Wyverns/Wyvern Monarchs. They are the MVP's of level 6 units. Period.

Magic elemental is much higher, so higher, in fact, that upgrading him (along with pixies and firebirds) is forbidden as a part of conflux nerfing strategy on some templates/communities. Imho, no retalialition to all melee at 9 Sp is savage, even with average 20-25 dmg, 'cause it allows for effective hit'n'run tactics.

Magic Elemental placement doesn't make sense when Lexiav described his reasoning to place some of the the other units above. Basicaly all tier B doesn't make sense compared to Magic Element. Ranking Wiverns low but ranking Cyclops high, for the same reason? That also doesn't make sense. Either Both ranked low, or both ranked high.
