Juvia’s Place probably has the best purples. Jeffree Star does, but only if you want to pay higher prices ... Menagerie just came out with a purple 6 pan but they also have singles.

So interesting! That tomato red Certifeye swatch is heart-stopping. It'd be a much longer video, but I'd love to see a battle of the blues... I often do my own version of this at home: get out one palette to swatch a shade and then start comparing and before I know it, there's eyeshadow all up my arm :D Enjoy your family time!

I Love this style video! I'm pleased that I have abt half of these too (Love+, Certifeye Tropical Wonders, Juvias Place Festival, Colored Raid Vivid palette-i missed the singles, and the Pinky Rose 80s Baby. Great reds!). I'd love to see Yellows, Greens, Purples.... And although I'm not a huge fan of blue eyeshadow, I'd like to see it only because I know YOU love blue eyeshadow, and I'm genuinely curious how many you have..... Lol. Id love to see 1 color of shimmers compared too. Basically I'll watch any color show downs that you want to do.

I had been searching for a fabulous red shadow for such a long time, until this month. After being inspired by one of your video's using Juvia's Place, I ordered 3 of there palettes as a birthday gift to myself. I have to say thank you, because I love them! The red in the festival palette is a total game changer, it really ended my quest for a good red shadow.

I always love videos that are color break downs ( favorite shadows, how to use a color, favorite combos with a color, color theory, etc) so this was a perfect video for me. Hopefully other subscribers/viewers feel the same way so we can get a lot more! I’ve personally done similar swatches like this of color families for Reddit before, like olive greens or true pinks or bright yellows. Here for color! I asked for this!

Hey, if you find your shadows feeling gritty/dry and not swatching. Try clearing it with a tissue then sanitize with spirits :) as a professional mua this is what we do when we see this issue! Save those palettes for ages instead of bacteria buildup taking over. Any shadow that touches a finger needs this or our finger oils introduce bacteria to the shadow.

Could you please describe how you bring shadows back to healthy usefulness?💜 I like to keep my powder eyeshadows for a long time. I hate that I've had to throw away palettes because they got gritty, colors didn't apply onto skin & smelled like Play-Doh. 💜 If there is a way to save them, that would be amazing.💜

Megan Sullivan it really depends on formula to be honest, some palettes I've had for 10 years, others only survived for a year. I find that pro palettes from cinematic companies last way longer with better color payoff over drugstore/retail does. To keep them in perfect condition always use clean brushes, never wet a shadow with ANYTHING unless its alcohol(70-91%), or stated else wise on packaging. Once your done with your look, you've got around 30 minutes before bacteria begins to build. This is a great time to grab a tissue and wipe the surface clean of any possible facial oils/finger oils on the surface. Then sanitize with alcohol or pigment sanitizer(I believe beauty so clean do these well), and leave open to dry. Once a dry palette smells any different than it did when you first got it, It may be time to move on. That usually means the preserving agent in the formulas gone off and is no longer stabilizing it to safe measures of use. I find it helpful to use a paint pen on the back of my palettes, date first opened, it helps me keep track of what's "too old". :)

I love the idea of battle of the reds. Reds are difficult to get the right one and make them work. Most reds oranges and purples change color on my eyes as the day goes on. They oxidized or fade regardless of the primer or base

Katia Carrasco Eyeshadows don’t oxidize on your eyes, as they are normally “exposed to oxygen”.

Love Plus is still my all time favorite! I have that same colored raine red that you said was your favorite, I bought it back when they were still singles, and ya it’s good but I don’t think it’s as good as love Plus. I also love the red in the juvias palette and I am pretty happy with the red in the certify palette but no me none of them compare to love Plus. I am not a huge Sugarpill fan anymore but every time I go to do red eyeshadow I try so hard not to touch love Plus but I just can’t get the intensity and the blend that I can with that one. That’s why makeup is cool though, we all have such different opinions! Love you!!

Loved this video! Reds can be tricky so it’s nice when you mention which ones perform best on the eye even if they don’t swatch that great. I don’t really care how it swatches as long as it works beautifully on the eyes! ❤️❤️

I wish you had the Strawberry Shake Palette from ColourPop. I know main squeeze is more red but it doesn’t have a true red in it exactly. The shade Daiquiri in the Strawberry Shake Palette is supposed to be a true red!

Red eyeshadow is my absolute favourite! I still love Sugarpill Love+ the best. I also love Illamasqua’s pigment called Berber. I bought them both when there were literally no other reds available. It’s great to see so many options on the market now ❤️

I only have ( MUG Cherry Cola , similar to Bitten but I think it's more brownish ) , Isafa from the festival by JP & that's it ! Lmao Angie I love, adore and wanna own all of the reds!! I have the Naked Heat even and I love it haha I have the red in the ABH Modern Renaissance, by swatches it reminded me of the Melt and MUG type of red. I bought the Marc Jacobs red eyeshadow single, its very beautiful, its called O! Mercy. Also the red (wich I think is a true red) of one the Huda Beauty's small palettes that is only birghts and finally I have 2 reds in my Nars wanted palette.

I use Coastal Scents all the time 😍 I love that their matte eyeshadows really are matte and doesn’t have a slight satin glow to them, as soooo many other brands “mattes” have. And yes, I know I have ranted about this before 🤣 Colourpop mattes and Blushtribe mattes are also matte for real 😘

Coloured Raine has a gorgeous red in one of their mini palettes Lovelies. It is metallic , not sure if it’s too metallic for you. The rest of the palette is great too.

Hey Angie - I came across this when looking for a look I could have SWORN you did in the last week (red eyeshadows with blue lower liner), and I think it would be awesome if you did an update to this series, since so many red shadows have come out since 2019. Actually, maybe do it at the end of the year, after BH finished their birthstone series, and battle all the blues, reds, purples, pinks, etc. 😉

It's not a matte, but out of everything I currently have my favorite red is Siren from Devinah. I'm patiently waiting for the Coloured Raine palette to restock though because Sauce looks like the perfect matte red.

I have that "love plus" eyeshadow by SP, and I'm not a fan of that one. It's patchy on application. I was disappointed with it. I have "Sauce" by CR and I adore that color! I love "Red Sea" in the Certifeye palette, too. I still haven't picked up the Kaleidos palettes but can't figure out why I haven't. Those are gorgeous palettes! This is a great video, Angelica!
