What I like of Seth is the evolution he had through his trilogy: From a lonely edgelord to a little more open person, then to relay on MC for support and finally asking them to be his safe zone. He didn't come out of nowhere and asked you out, it took some time. If we take "Desert Journey" at the beginning of the summer and "Andvari's Falls" at the end of it, Seth developed his feelings for 9 month before confessing now...

As much I love the romance between the two. Mc's relationships always ends in tragedy. Many vows broken till death they part then time reset anew. I see Ash weeping in many several failed attempts to save MC across many timelines and probably seek help or advice from World Representatives or World Pillars how to end the accursed timeloop to achieve a True Happy Ending.
