Logbook is such an underrated item in this mod and especially this character build. The harvesting for dodge is niche for some builds, but the +6% more enemies aspect I think is usually overlooked. For comparison, the shop before Wave 16 @20:50 had Gentle Alien for 81 but Logbook for 31.

Maybe the crash item just replaces all text with unicode characters and makes all text unreadble? As it says "TEXT_API_CRASH", not "GAME_CRASH".

Idk how it would have worked out, but conceptually if the sniper had the opposite effect where the map gets LARGER each wave sounds like a neat idea

The Builder from Patamods works like that; you start on a tiny map that gets bigger each wave. They're a very Engineering-focused character, though, which makes it tricky.

Yeah. I haven’t seen that Item_API_Crash when playing this mod, same thing with the legendary harpoon at 14:45 , gotta check those out. Also. The character is funny at endless cause you actually get chicken dinner by the enemies just not spawning. Lol

Nerd Alert: After hearing about the enemy non-spawn crash, I decided to try to replicate it to see if it's been fixed. It hasn't, so I decided to stress test the game to find out just how far you can go with Royal Battler while avoiding the crash. I used Old + Royal Battler to speed up the process (2x Royal Battler is obnoxious to test thanks to 100% materials down). I first crashed with that setup on wave 12, so you should be able to safely go to round 28 (since Old is worth 16.5 extra waves) with Royal Battler without worrying about the crash. Using corner strats, I made it past wave 25, so even double Royal Battler should be beatable. I'm not testing how far I could push Old + Royal Battler because I don't have enough free time to do so, but at least we now know that something dumb like 4% map size decrease/round is beatable, albeit requiring EXTREMELY careful play starting from round 13.

on endless this character crashes around wave 25, depending on how many structures you took

I always merge miniguns to tier 4, when possible, as 1 tier 4, deals more dps than 2 tier 3.

You’re more likely to find more miniguns if you have two tier 3’s instead of 1 tier 4 though. Plus you can always merge them later.

merging is good for DPS, but bad for your chance to find more miniguns. more miniguns = more fun than higher dps minigun. zero chance we would have ended this with 6 miniguns if we combined.

Not sure if you're still in the mood for challenge runs, but I have been trying to make an smg run where I don't take range damage work and it's been a fun challenge over the last few days. Best attempt I had was wave 17 that I ruined by taking elemental ring on cyborg that took me to 4 damage on epic smg crits.

unfortunately it would literally just crash on wave like _23_ probably? The map would be too small for enemy spawns and the game just wouldn't work.

It would work tho if it had the whole doesn't work after wave 20 like piggy bank, but it doesn't specifically say that so the crash problem will start happening at around -50-60% map size

This character also seems weaker in current version of the mod. ._. 8% enemy health vs 5% enemy health, twice less materials bonus. It has 5% attack speed per different weapon but it is whatever. I am not sure what creator was doing with some of them - last ones left for me just feel awful to play, meanwhile at least two are straight up broken right from the get go. Most potatoes feel appropriate though so it's good. :p I am just tired of trying to finish D5 with couple characters that left for me. ._.
