The reason why this is my favorite scene in the movie is due to the suspense of the apes closing in and the mayhem that's about to take place, and you really get the sense that these aren't JUST "animals" but sentient beings who aren't afraid of mankind anymore and have the scary intelligence equivalent to that of man. Truly a stunning line and my favorite scene.

I think he was just trying to encourage his men. ‘They’ve literally never used guns before, they have no idea what they’re doing’ And he was right! The apes had no training, they were just wildly spraying at a building. They won because of numbers and luck.

Koba believes Caesar is weak because he is unwilling to fight the humans. When in reality it makes Caesar a very wise leader. A good leader evaluates a situation and looks at all the alternatives and only chooses to fight if there is no other way. If you rush blindly into battle (like Koba) then you loose lives on both sides, which is what happened when Koba took over. Apes lost their lives to a war that could’ve been avoided if Koba hadn’t struck first. This is what Caesar was trying to tell Koba, if peace is an option than a good leader searches for it. War isn’t pretty and anyone who rushes blindly into it is a fool. Koba could have let go of his hatred, but instead he let rage guide him and let his past determine his fate.

If Ceasar did strike humans as the leader he would of had a different tactic where he wouldn't lose lots of men like in original when they fought the cops. He out smarted the cops until a helicopter came out of nowhere.

Kobas rage and hatred is so phenomenal it pulls you in to hating more. His battle cry charging the fortress is nothing but powerful and makes you want to kill everything in site. I feel for Koba and stand with him, you can only forgive so long, the hatred will become more powerful and deadly than before. Long live Koba

But Blue Eyes was seriously hesitant of doing this. Even if he never forgave humans for shooting his father (It was Koba who shot Caesar, just a lie by Koba), this isn't what his father had taught him nor was something that he wanted. But Koba is the new leader and he is to follow him regardless of what is the opposite of what Ceasar would've done.

Movie fun aside cuz don’t get me wrong, this an awesome scene, I feel like this is an unsustainable battle for the apes. The inability to reload means unless every gorilla is carrying a number of guns for other apes to resupply which in of itself would be difficult in the midst of battle the humans would probably win. The apes would expend most of their Assault-Rifles in their initial fire scene and then short of those with LMG’s being able to fire for a bit longer albeit not too much longer given undisciplined firing they’d run out of ammo and be forced to assault the tower directly which is easier said than done. The humans have a good number of people on the wall, more than likely spare mags to resupply and enough spare fire arms to share amongst them. Not to mention the men stationed on the ground, providing ground fire and the LAV which would’ve mopped up the rest.

I hear you, but two things: at the end when the apes are leaping over the barricades they are using spears again, so they did run out of ammo. I'll admit, they lasted way longer than they should have. And second, koba was dual wielding Light machine guns with possible 150-200 bullets in the magazine. That should last a while
