even after all that Tarkin was like nope Clones are no good

It wasn’t Clones as a whole he found insufficient because of the drill, it was the task force that showed a staggering amount of free will.

What I remember though is that Tarkin found that Clones were too expensive to create. But then again he found the Death Star something brilliant so....

Well we all know that clones can be controlled via the chip inside their heads so Tarkin and the Empire didn't want to fall onto the sword they've used to hunt down the jedis and destroyed the Republic

No, because the clones reacted to Order 66, this could be employed against Inquisitors and was effectively.

This is funny, the Bad Batch performed well and with no difficulty when it was just training rounds or in another sense an even playing field. But when the odds were so against them during the live rounds and was caught by surprise they won and survived, then Tarkin said nope clones are no good when the thing he was looking for the Empire that would have win against the Rebellion in the future. Most of the Empire’s armies have been fcked by rebellion’s guerilla tactics or situations that gave the Empire some poor odds against them similar to the live rounds part.
@magentamomo71508 күн бұрын
He probably realized these clones were too smart and might have a chance of betraying the Empire and join the rebellion. Idk tho i haven't watched bad batch yet

That's because 99' were free thinkers, he didn't want troopers who could think, he wanted loyalty, obedience, canon fodder.

In the Legends storyline they did. Commander Cody was even stationed there to train new recruits.

I don’t think the decision truly rested on Tarkin’s shoulders. The Emperor felt that the loyalty of the clones would always be put into question. Also the close call with some of clones having defective chips almost activating or outright mutinying after order 66. They were also super expensive to make and maintain more so than the droid army. Not to mention extremely unpopular with members of the public. Using an imperial army consisting of conscripts, and volunteers would be more cost effective. Then using the clones to transition to storm troopers which originally were the cream of the crop in terms of imperial training and technology.
@rory81826 күн бұрын
the problem with the clones is that they worked with the Jedi and saw no examples of the "treason" that they did, and all were aware of Order 66's existance. With them around it was only a matter of time

@@Juras181 the battlefront reasoning could have made sense if we saw more perspectives other than the 501st and sometimes the 212th. most jedi leaned more towards krell than towards anakin and obi wan in terms of how good leaders they were on the battlefield
@Juras1812 күн бұрын
Oh that's interesting i didn't knew that. I thought that the Jedi in general where relatively nice But overall the risk would still have been significantly higher that a clone would refuse orders or that the truth would come to light, before order 66 is executed, right? Especially because there were Jedi like Obi-wan, Anakin and Plo Koon.
@benjaminmclaren87822 күн бұрын
Remember, these are not regular clones. They are free thinkers. Tarkin saw them do this, a scenario he probably designed to make the clones fail, and they still beat it. Regular clones would not do that. So, he recommends that the clones be phased out. Problem is, who is to say that normal people would perform as well.

Even Then That's giving Tarkin WAY More Benefit of The Doubt he derseves. Guy was the Most Responsible maybe right after Sidious for not only the Empire Track Record against The Rebellion but It's General Inefectivess and Incompetente even Without going into the Whole Death Star Fiasco.
