I will NOT provide download links for OST. Please do not ask for links. I ripped the OST myself and the only reason why I uploaded it to YT is because I'm very stingy about audio quality.
This game is very story heavy and there are over 50 cutscene related music and another 50+ for DLC tracks. If people could point out where any specific music appears in game so I can label these better than "Cutscene X" I would greatly appreciate the help.
When a more complete soundtrack is out I will update to the final names but for now these will suffice.

The way the guitar and violin dance around each other in V1 makes it still superior to me, but v2 is still good!

I feel this one is. The violin is playing waaaay too high in the original (I don’t know why Sakuraba wrote it that high tbh). It needed a harmony below it to round it out; just sounds way too thin and a little grating without it.

At the final part of the story, twists and turns lead us to Lenegis and battle theme changed to this !! I felt that was truly Jesus! the staff who came up with the idea and one's family should be praised forever.

It's a rearrangement of ""that OST"" that we heard pretty so much at the beginning of story, and it's really nostalgic and also this leitmotif let me know chain-like bond that the protagonists have built up... and I can feel the "tragic destiny" of alphen... well did sakuraba, thanks forever

Same composer for both games: Motoi Sakuraba....can't wait to see what he does with SO6 btw...really hoping the game's story winds up beating the past games (character models certainly aren't...SO should drop the doll like models for either something anime like Arise, cartoony like Dragon Quest, or go full realistic like Final Fantasy imo cause those models just look bad....last game with good character models in SO imo was SO2's PSP remake...and it was pixel graphics lol) cause i've been mostly disappointed with the story of SO after 2....3's ending arc pissed me off, 4's was just bland, 5's....i actually didn't get past the 1/2 or 3/4ths mark of the game as i got pulled into other, more interesting games while playing it. Maybe before SO6 comes out i'll go on a SO marathon and beat all the previous games before 6 comes out (likely a late summer/fall 2022 release if its not delayed).

Zestiria's "White Light," "Rising Up," "Sorey's Theme: The Shepherd" (played in the Tokyo Olympics, July 2021) "Melody of Water," "Zaveid's Theme" as well as the other "Trial Shrines" songs made me a Tales fan. This one from Arise is typically Tales (though there are parts where the guitar and the violin seem to be at war- if I'm even hearing the instruments right). Not bad.

Take a listen to some of Tales of Legendia's music. You might like some of that as well. Most of the themes you described were made by Go Shiina, who composed the music for ToL on his own.

@@Skybird1525 You're right, and I did. Tales of Legendia is amazing musical-wise- and it's too bad that it's underrated. I don't understand why Vesperia DE got a definitive edition faster than older tales games like Legendia or Destiny or Phantasia. I also find it unfair that others rank Legendia as the most boring Tales game ever made. Nothing is too boring or too bad for a true fan of a game. I just wish there are more fans of Tales who truly support it- rather than outsiders like One Piece and Bleach fans, DBZ, Granblue, Ender Lilies fans who are very critical of Tales games without saying where their standards are based on.

You can be a hardcore fan and still think some aspects of a game you love or a entire game of a series is bad. I think too that Legendia is meh but still appreciate aspects from it like the music.

We can all say some games are "meh" but it's different when some fans "harass" and "bully" those that like the things they consider "meh" as you say. Hating something to the point you actually try to sabotage sales or mess up public opinion with fake controversies as what happened with Tales of Zestiria is a serious case of "online brutality" that gaming should look into instead of trying to defend or sweep the "degeneracy" under the rug.

This and the original are the few signature themes of Arise and the only few memorable ones, and most are deluded into thinking the other atmospheric ones are actual OSTs when they suit a nature documentary more. That aside, you can barely hear this theme in the actual game because of horrible audio mixing which this game suffers from dearly. Often times are voice lines drowned out by sound effects, or vice versa. And yeah there're settings for it but it'll never be perfect as not every piece has equal volume, there'll always be something drowned out by something else. Honestly unforgivable.
