What model of the GL line would be the better SURF guitar?

Any would work well but I'd say the Legacy, S-500, or Doheny. The Fallout, Skyhawk, and ASAT variations would work but the previously mentioned are essentially beefed up Strats or a guitar similar to a Jazzmaster

@@grawman67 Thank You! I tried out a Fender Strat 70 year anniversary model and it did not sound good at all to me. Maybe the pickups were underpowered as it sounded very weak. The Legacy S-500, or Doheny should sound better than that one.

@@ericjames7680 That's a shame to hear it sounded underpowered. There's certainly something to say for a pickup that has a low output but we all like different things. The G&L Legacy has pickups very reminiscent of Strat pickups (more 60s flavored in my experience) and the S-500 has MFD pickups that are hotter so that may impact your choice. The Doheny is very much like a Jazzmaster but they're a bit more "hi-fi" in my experience. Good luck with the search!
