For stalker jackets I’m fairly certain you can just pop hunter hood instead of cleric robe. The resistances given by retaliate only apply to the damage you actively take and because of this you can actually do more damage with deflect than you take. HOWEVER I do not play with cloth robes often and the resistances on them may make it worse to do this so some testing is needed

just out of curiosity what is the best frost staff set up for mists? you seem like you have experience and would have decent advice. Im currently running hunter hood, mage robe. soldier boots, 1h frost, a mistcaller and a lym cape. i am just wondering if my setup is good or whether it could be improved

@@Melancholei so the way you have to play against Deathgiver is do as much dmg as possible, make sure you get an E in there, use chest active early, then full reset the fight before he gets his 3rd stack. DG does no dmg without that double E, so you will come out of this trade ahead. Then you just full commit fight the 2nd engagement, and as soon as he has 3 stacks, you have Hunter ready. Unless he is MUCh stronger than you, this tactic works almost every time.
