highly suggest to run it with the 2x scope, se5, and short suppressor. it extends your viable range out to around 150 meters and allows you to beam down all the sitting duck dmr users. because you outrange everyone and you have no recoil the gun turns into a midrange headshot machine. i consistently get 75+ kill games with this setup with relatively low deaths.

I personally prefer the 1x as the 2x magnifies the felt recoil (so a kick of 1.0 feels like 2.0 with the 2x slip), although I know 2x is popular on the AUG too. I had no issues staying on target with the 1x. I think they announced they might change how scope mags work to allow more assault rifles to use midrange scopes better, so let's see what the update changes!

Love your videos. I'm a newer player and I'm loving the game but i don't want to worry about aiming while I'm still getting used to playstyle and memorizing maps. Please keep your videos coming. They help out a lot by breaking down the chaos for newer players. The game is awesome and has a loyal player base. It's not going away any time soon.

Personally, I main the AUG, and I appreciate your analysis, but you're wasting its potential with a 1x scope. Your priority should be shooting people outside THEIR effective range, not bringing it into gunfights under 50m, like I mostly see you doing in the video. I think the minimum zoom you should be using is a 2x, maybe with a red dot top sight in case of closer engagements, and try the vertical grip (or maybe tactical I forget) and compensator with quick mags. This gives your recoils pretty much the same value, but I try to prioritize having the horizontal recoil lower. For the AUG, you don't really need a suppressor, when you should be killing the enemy from far enough away that by the time they locate your gunshots, they're already dead. When you have the ability to lower your recoil to below 1.0 in both recoil directions, you may as well consider a 2x scope (for the M4, AUG, F2000, G36C, L86, and SG550, I run 2x, although I tend to avoid the SG550, because it is statistically inferior to the AK74 in nearly every way.

My beef with the 2x scope is that it doubles the felt recoil, so the kick of 1.0 feels like a 2.0 recoil under 2x magnification. I personally just run the 1x scope and I think I can accurately use it up to about 150m anyway without issue (I've tested 1x and 2x scopes on aug in test range before making the vid). Remember it's not only about distance but also about cover to cover fighting - if you're both headpeaking out from cover and the opponent has recoil and you don't, the AUG should win as it can hit their head easier. Most of my kills are closer range, true, but they're also mostly abusing cover with good sightlines, as seen in the two showcase games

@@ClippyTactical That's true, the recoil can be harder, but it's logical to try and use it for the only things it has against other guns; recoil and range dropoff. Like you said, its TTK isn't great, so if you're going to use a 1x on it, you may as well use guns that have a higher TTK and dominate mid range like the G36C or M4 while still having controllable recoil. If I wanted to fight within 50m, I'd just use the G36C with a 1x, but the AUG's strength is longer ranges, and a 2X helps a bit with that. I am excited for the next update where they buff mid range scope recoil though, I appreciate your work in the BBR community.

@@rokshox7812 in the current version, I personally find the 1x easier at range than 2x's. They help you aim easier, sure, but they also punish you for it. Whole point of Aug is zero recoil, with a 2x you now have to correct for recoil and will prob miss some shots. I too can't wait for the Midrange scope rework because currently as you can see I just think they're worse than 1x on everything except dmr and sniper and I guess the rework is because they must be underused in their current state

the aug is goated with a red dot. just aim at the head close range and it is not a problem for players with exceptional aim. gun is a laser just kill the funny Roblox men can still beam ppl at 200 + meters with red dot also. love the aug

Yeah although in a lot of fps games they give the least recoil, least damage gun as the starter gun and people hate it as it forces them into a certain style of play. M4 and ak74 are good because they're all rounders

Every time I prestige, once I unlock the AUG I never touch the M4. It's my go-to for "I want accuracy". It's higher velocity makes it easier to use than the M4 on moving targets. (edit: and I like both editing styles, but in this new one the music is at times just a touch too high compared to your voice.)

The thing with slower, more accurate guns is that you're probably killing faster by hitting 5 for 5 on a five hit to kill gun than you are by dumping 10 rounds out of a FAL and only hitting 3 for the kill.

I personally use a 3.4x sight for it's ability to let me pick off openly placed DMR users, along the the urk for a faster reload to minimise downtime. Even with theese, I do not personally find the recoil being an issue, but your build does seem to work well, as the most kills ive ever gotten with my aug was 56, compared to your 98 lol.

Well, I think this weapon is ok in CQC - Just aim to the head. I'm currently using AUG as my main gun. And it does its job well at any ranges because it does full damage up to 150 m. and I don't have to fight with it every time when I need to kill someone.

theres a reason its my most used weapon after 500+ hours, i tend to switch between weapons a lot, so i have a bunch of weapons with a few thousand kills each, but its my only gun at 10k kills currently. i used to use it exclusively with an acog and a horizontal recoil build, so i could just pull down and beam people at range

Just means you're probably an aggressive player. It does suck if you're throwing it at CQB over and over, but if you just hang back, it's an easy and strong choice (it has no recoil so just point it at enemy).

The pp19 despite you said to be the worst smg, has similar design philosophy to the aug: laser recoil, long ttk, fast reload. Only difference being that no one needed that performance on a smg. Bit of a pity. I need that magnified sight to compensate for my bad eyesight at range, and the aug with its low recoil allows me to full auto even with the sight intensifying the recoil. By no means optimal, just what I like to do.

The problem with the PP-19 is that it's statted like a long range rifle but has short range damage dropoff, and deals 25 damage, so the second you cross that damage dropoff you're adding a bullet to kill to an already slow TTK So it's basically a close range gun (SMG category dmg fall off) that is trying to be a long range gun (stat wise) and does well at neither role
