Bots like whiplash could use their arm during the count-out to get free again so they just count out for every bot to keep it even, but now that they installed lexan paneling around the box if a bot is out of the arena it's next to the door and would be a safety issue if it would try to get out, so I think it's an instant KO now.

Hitting a disabled bot by mistake is one thing. But when Ray asks "One more?" and destroys a bot that's already out of commission, I find that unsportsmanlike. Why is that permitted?

I've seen him do it alot. It seems his favourite thing is taking shots at incapacitated robots. Mind of all the drivers, he's up there for "I reckon he's a dbag in real life"

It should be noted that competitors in Robot Combat are generally very nice and sporting - it's very common for competitors are willing to sell or give spare parts to others who need them, as well as helping with repairs and letting opponents keep bits that they damaged in fights. Ray is a very nice guy out of the arena, and is known for playing the 'villain' so to speak. The only real exception to this rule is team Riptide - specifically Ethan Kurtz - who it seems very few people outside of his team tolerate, let alone like.

They are no real guns. If actual projectiles were allowed, we would see them way more often. However, guns could also pierce the shielding of the arena. That's why Brutus used rubber bullets and fireworks instead.

I've looked it up as well. Comments say that it was emergency-repaired just before the fight and basically burned itself up when going to full speed. You can see that it already struggles before even getting hit. Also, these bullets are rubber projectiles and fireworks

Those were special effects bullets (just flashy, nothing else). I believe in a later interview, Mobius clarified that they essentially self-destructed from the power of its own motor (they used the same motor as Tombstone)
