ThomeTeque Considering they used the Hyperion model, let assume that is a Behemoth-class battlecruiser. It still would of been smaller than a Mother Ship. Even the largest type battlecruiser (Gorgon-class) is only about 600-ish meters, while Mother Ships are literally carrying a small *city* on it, as they was not built for combat prior to the Second Great War. Simply look up Starcraft size comparison charts on Google and see for yourself.

Terran,Protoss and zerg are the only known races we know (ya ya xelnaga but they are extinct and hybrids are just stupid 1 man army guys and only 4 types of them). In real life, many actual fire support whether from artillery or from the Navy, requires actual lazing/spotting from ground troops in order to acquire targets. Its done solely to prevent hitting their own troops in the cross fire as well as to invalidate electronic countermeasures that could throw off radar guidance and such.

Actually when they changed the BC to fire multiple beams while moving than to stop and fire once fits more to it's style. Why would a behemoth stop every time it fires a zergling instead of nonstop bombardment of all cannons. I'm pretty sure a Mothership is much bigger than a Battlecruiser tho.

Actually those are the standard lasers its firing, but what you were thinking of were the torpedoes they originally intended as an optional upgrade over the yamato gun, which would've obliterated all the zerg approaching that base, as well as the protoss base in record time, so they dropped it in favor of just the yamato gun upgrade.

The battlecruiser here reminds me of the Hyperion in the Co-Op missions. Also I am wondering if the terrens could have somehow pulled back and let the Protoss and Zerg fight each other. Then take out whichever force remained.

Those were all Sardaukar from Dune, not regular marines. The Goliaths were all elite level mech warrior mercenaries from Mech Commander. This particular battlecruiser was actually Emperor Palpatine's personal flagship. The ghost was the reincarnation of Audie Murphy. That's how this battle was won against incredible odds
