i get that why people hate the prosthetic arm, because it is so different from the history. I also agree with the criticism that when people saw the trailer, they wouldn't think of WWII. So far I think it's the biggest problem. But I still believe that it will be a wonderful game.

Lady Lynn I think most of us understand that....that's not necessarily the problem. That a soldier (male or female) is on the frontlines with a prosthetic arm and over the top garb and warpaint....feels unrealistic to the point of breaking immersion. Historical immersion matters to some people, especially with a conflict like WWII that still carries so much meaning and emotional attachment. I found most of the character models we've seen thus far silly. We could have seen a deady French female resistance fighter sabotaging German supply lines, but instead we got exegerated charactures of pseudo WWII GI Joe heroes. I found this to be forced and rather silly. I'm still extremely excited for the game, but it's ok to admit the trailer was poorly thought out and executed. That's my stance and I think many, many people agree. I am still preordering and I'm still a diehard BF fan.

Do you know if in BF5 there is different movement speed for classes such as assault vs support? I always imagined assault squads to be a slight bit quicker than other infantry or maybe they will climb over walls faster in BF5

I liked the new intensity in the trailer but the main thing I focused on was all the new information on the archetype system and the new animations and additions to the game like fortifications. The gameplay has a chance to be very team based and I’ve always liked that in a game.

Essay below. Just letting ya know. I think the BFV trailer was information overload, with very little being told about the actual setting itself of the game, and it hardly showed what all the different factions look like as well. I get that they wanted to show all the different gameplay mechanics being introduced into the new game, but I had to be re-assured by a video by Jackfrags that said that the trailer did not reflect the gameplay. Otherwise, I'm not sure I would buy it. Also, I'm personally not a huge fan of a lot of customization, but I get that I'm sorta in the minority of that. I like how little customization there is in BF1, it fits the narrative of huge battles fought in a huge war by millions of people, which I think is crucial in a video game about one of the world wars. This is how I agree where it's steering away from the military simulation. BF1 captured that brutality and adrenaline rush of war better than any other game I've played. As far as the "muh women on the front lines." I like how BF1 handled it, where the Russian sniper was a woman because they were the only major country to actually do that. I get there were various resistances in WWII where women fought, but that wasn't in full scale battles, but instead in smaller strategic operations and such. HOWEVER, the Germans in BF1 had two black player models, despite there basically only ever being black German soldiers fighting in East Africa, but I got over that pretty quickly. Prosthetic arms? Come on DICE. That was neither necessary nor wanted. Lastly, shooting grenades in the air to blow them up? Not only are the chances in the heat of battle (and I know this might be viewed as being selective as far as what I do and don't want to be realistic) of shooting a grenade in the air with anything but a shotgun are 0.01%, but the grenade might not even explode. My only weakness in this game is that i dont look at the mini map coming from a cod background and looking to the top left for a minimap, also on xbox one, not many flares are used so i never exactly saw it as a big deal until i see your videos and relise how you use it, not that it holds me down from hitting 70+ kills in conquest

Nice footage dude, people hating on BFV before it's even come out baffle me, I think a lot of the vitriol comes from salty BF players who wanted Modern, some who hated BF1, some who hate the WW theme, a lot of CoD fanboys. Most of the criticisms are just weird, it doesn't look cartoonish, it doesn't look like Fortnite, it doesn't look like it plays like CoD. How about people just wait for the gameplay at EA Play and the videos the top BF players will put out after that. The set pieces look cartoony. The gameplay footage on the other hand looked incredible. The character models looked silly with the face paint and hand prosthetic. (Seems like they want to appeal to the kids crowd who like customisation) Without your video on the gameplay features it would have been a disaster. Terribly executed trailer but I'm sure the game will be amazing.
