The Light Tank is my favorite vehicle in BF1 hands down. I've got 240 hours alone in the light tank. There are very specific scenarios that dictate the choice of loadout for me. This doesn't include the Light Support variant as I feel the other two variants are far superior. It's a fun little glass canon and both the Light Howitzer and the Light Flanker have their strengths and weaknesses in any given scenario. It took me a while to understand how to use it properly but once I did, my games became much more productive. I feel confident even if when I see a heavy tank on the battlefield. If I have the right variant and use it in the right way then I absolutely feel I have the advantage in any engagement with any other armor. I've destroyed hundreds of Heavy tanks while in the Light Tank and it feels good every time. Apollo does a good job but there are many things he could improve on while using the FT-17.

@@jakzine540 Learning to not be too aggressive with the tank as it has half the health that the large tanks have. You have to play passive-aggressive with it. By that I mean you have to know when to engage and when to not engage. You need to stay more to the structures and debris where you can have cover and still fire from. When you are getting hit by a lot of grenades or rocket gun fire you have to completely disengage from all combat and drive to the rear of the map to repair and decide the next flanking route. It may sound like running from combat but with the small amount of health you have, you are just asking to be destroyed by staying in hot combat zones for very long. The Flanker tank is perfect for anti-infantry at literally any range. The case rounds (secondary fire of the Flanker) are absolutely wasted on close up enemies. You should always use the main gun on the Flanker because of the splash damage against infantry. The case rounds are ridiculously overpowered if used right. Statistically they have next to zero bullet drop or damage drop over distance. Which means that any infantry in the open at up to and including max range can be killed. You don't even have to account for bullet drop. I've killed thousands of people at sniper-rifle distance with the case rounds. The majority of videos I've seen show the driver using case rounds for close quarter combat. This is absolutely the wrong way to use them. The arc of the main canon rounds can also be utilized to fire OVER structure while you are behind it. Meaning you can hit someone and they cannot hit you. Learning to drive backwards is a must. The light Tank has the majority of it's armor on the rear and with the added rear section that allows you to drive over trenches, you cannot expect the front armor to take a lot of the damage because there is less up there. This is just the basics for the Flanker Version as the Howitzer version requires a completely different type of playing. For my money I enjoy the Howitzer version more.
