I also agree that I think they need to change the announcer for the matches. I'm fine with it being a girl, just maybe change the tone of her, doesn't exactly fit with the setting of this game. As for the fonts, It's fine with me, each Battlefield game has a different look that's unique to their own.

Yes, not all of the battles in world war 1 occurred in trenches. HOWEVER, the MAJORITY of them did. The areas in which trench warfare was "less" common (there was still trench warfare) was more on the Russian fronts and in Northern Africa. That being said, the combat on the Western European fronts was essentially ALL trench warfare. In fact, trench warfare was such a major factor that we call it the "stalemate". This led to the development of new technologies such as gas and zeppelins to "break" ENEMY, TRENCH LINES!

it's not that it's a woman so much as it's clear as day. in older titles, they had a radio filter, so it sounded like it was through a radio. this makes it sound futuristic cause it's so clear.

What I didn't like (this includes jack's other BF1 videos): -Too many people running around with automatic weapons. They weren't all that popular on ww1. -Tanks that have healthbars instead of area damage. -I don't think I saw a single trench... maybe that was the game type. -Pilots with parachutes (Brittish and American pilots didn't have them. They were considered cowardly). Jumping off a plane and opening them last second. -The out of place female announcer. What I liked: -One shot kills (there should be a more realistic game type, I believe). -Bayonet charges. -Graphics and sounds. Including the callouts the characters make. -dogfights.

I agree I've seen about 5 gameplay videos now and I've seen no actual trench combat, they need a mode where 1 team defends a trench and the other attacks, the defenders have machine guns and artillery and the attackers have tanks and charge across the battlefield. Axiomatic ww1 weapons were the first automatic weapons, I'm sure they'll have alot of recoil. Rifles and more commonly used weapons like pistols barely have any making up for it. The time to kill seems pretty standard to me. I've spent alot longer killing people in bf4

Lmao guys. Most of these people disappointed of this game are hyping for the graphics.. People don't even understand that this isnt even beta, its pre-alpha! And when you play a game, you play it for the gun play, the physics etc. Not just the graphics. Personally, I am very impressed with this game, from what footage we have got so far. The gunplay reminds me of Insurgency and UI reminds me of Battlefront, which is fantastic. Because Insurgency is a very hardcore game and the gunplay there, is very good and so is the UI in Battlefront. Well done so far EA!

The sound effects are TOP notch. Notice how when the tank took a hit you can hear a "Thwop-CLAAAANG" as the armor resonates? The guns sound like they have some real power and echo without overwhelming and drowning out the rest of the action.

This looks just like BF4 in WWI era that's all. Everyone is running around with automatic weapons that can kill in distances exactly like BF4. Bolt action rifle was main infantry rifle in WW1 and I was so hyped for bolt action rifle due in most game plays that will force players to carefully aim at longer range and draw their side arms/shovels/knives to fight in closer range hand to hand combat. Now everyone just running around with automatic weapon spraying and kill in both short and long range, it's nothing more than BF4 in new skin.

Only problem, female announcer it does not feel like ww1. Yes females did help in the war but for narration there should be a rough announcer from the country you are playing on if. For example, if you are the germans someone with a thick german accent should be narrator, english, americans etc. thats my only problem. Other then that amazing game!

After doing the charge the character should be heaps shaky and breathing really heavily, unable to aim well. Imagine running out of a trench being fired upon by bullets, you'd be heaps tired, lots of blurred vision, but unable to shoot straight. Also the woman's voice has got to go... Sure there were women in WW1 (nurses, code breakers, truck drivers etc.) but there certainly weren't any women in the trenches - just stating historical fact - don't get all angry. haha A general screaming orders from accross the field would be brilliant. "move forward lads - take back Bentley men!"

the tanks are deliberatetly faster since gameplay comes first before realism. Nobody would enjoy crawling around at 5kph off-road. Oneshot kills are totally fine. Afterall, bolt action rifles had alot of stopping power irl and gameplay wise it make sence aswell to let them do more damage than lets say a mg or smg. There is a reason why bolt-action rifles like the k98 and springfield were popular with snipers. High accuracy and high damage to the target.

Spartacus Smith bolt actions are harder to hit than a smg with a full automatic magazine tho. It makes perfect sense realism wise and gameplay wise. A automatic or for that matter semi automatic rifle can put 4-5 shots into you much easier than a bolt action can put 1 shot into you.

Spartacus Smith in ww1 there were tracer bullets used in the airplanes. Not every single bullet included a tracer charge of course, with most rounds being regular bullets, which you dont see.
