Actually tanks were unreliable at this time so there were really only used as either all-terrain vehicles, or used to clean up barbed wire.

Tanks were actually surprisingly reliable for new tech, and one of the problems was that they *couldn't* be used as all-terrain vehicles because they got bogged down in mud very easily, which was a problem in WWI since 90% of No Man's Land was mud at that point, and which has continued to be an issue in all tank designs since. What the British discovered was that when not on muddy terrain, the presence of even a single tank radically shifted the course of battle on whatever front they were deployed on. In fact, without the tank, it is unlikely that the Hundred Days Offensive could have succeeded, which would have resulted in the war dragging on even longer and possibly would have resulted in border shifts if the stalemate lasted long enough.

WW1 The war that started because of the cluster fuck of over lapping alliances because Serbia couldn't keep its hands off Austria-Hungary's archduke and ended with nobody really knowing wtf is going on, creating a shit ton of animosity between countries, feelings of the war being a complete waste of time and was thought to be the war to end all wars until the sequel came. Still neat to see a war game about something other then WW2

Haxer Haz there was no Rocket Propelled Grenade in existence in WW1. anti tank weapons were most commonly field guns and artillery, just like here. also should be noted that "RPG" is a name for a Russian model of anti tank rocket launcher, and is more of a shaped charge than a "grenade." Americans used the bazooka and Germans the panzerfaust.

I saw a documentation about British EMpire recruiting black and indigneous people (India, Pakistan) and they even classified them in different aggression, obedient and mellow tribes. It was a little science then, there were supervisors reading their mails for knowing what they think and if they would desert. In Germany there was an outrage then, how one could even think of using "inferior humans" (not my words) in warfare. So, all in all there were very few blacks and indigene warriors in WW1 and it seems like a strange choice to pick an Afro-American as protagonist.

All the people in the comments saying Nazis were around in ww1 obviously failed history. At the end of WW1 the German Imperialist party splintered and from that the Nazi party came about. Seriously learn your history people. It is disrespectful to all the people who lost their lives during WW1 and WW2 respectively that you people can't separate the two wars. They should all be honored and remember for what the fought to protect especially when none of them had a choice but all rose to the occasion, which is far more than i can say about the world today. It's funny how back then everyone 17 and up got sent to war and they all rose to the occasion but you have people whining about some of the stupidest things.
