It depends on the situation, if I have more close quarters or mid to long range shootings, but I would say the M416 is my allrounder, the AEK is also quite ok with silencer, because you pump the enemy full of bullets and the Scar-H and G53

Any game with a G3 in it and I would own with that weapon! I miss BF3! I used to regularly run either a acog or a holographic sight on mine, after a while I switched back to iron sights. Cold war style!

Fair doos. Also, outside of 10m you have to burst it more. It has a high spread increase per shot so you really do have to burst it, almost like the As-Val.

Because in bf3 when you shoot someone in the upper chest with a full size rifle cartridge, it takes 3 hits at MINIMUM, and the G3A3 has nasty recoil. This gun would be useful in an environment/damage model like Red Orchestra or Day of Defeat.

I'm a bit conflicted about the G3A3. Its a good looking gun, and it does well sometimes, but the rate of fire, bullet drop even with the heavy barrel, and magazine size prevent me from using it on a regular basis.

I think this is one of the best AR's available. I've used it on small maps like Ziba to big ones like Caspian and still dominate. You just gotta get used to it.

yeah i never use the heavy barrel on this gun without the foregrip. being able to aim for the chest and have the second bullet hit the head isn't possible without the foregrip. i love takeing 2 shot burst with this gun. it demolishes snipers. people may say the M16 can do everything better... but lets see them try to take out a headglitching bipod pro while fully supresssed. the G3 can chew though supression if you tap fire. plus the 2 shot kill can be done with 1 to the head and 1 to the body.

The G3A3 is top a medium range Sniper Rifle, Use heavy barrel, Rifle x6 Scope and Bipod and it a great weapon. I use it all the time on single shot, kind of works like the FN FAL in CoD

I quite like the G3A3. I think it is an excellent weapon especially at range obviously but the reason why it stands out amongst every other weapon in the kit is the great damage that allows you to perform with some success at close range if you get the first shot of but then at range you can land precise shots and down your opponent with relative ease. I find it made me discipline my shots in order to conserve my ammunition. I can understand why you don't like it but that's fine obviously.

The problem I found is that once I got used to it.... I had trouble going back. Not because I thought the G3 was better than the other guns, just because I was so used to it I had trouble controlling the recoil of weapons with higher firerates, and was so used to tap firing I had trouble bursting.

Foregrip and heavy barrel is ALWAYS more accurate than just having a heavy barrel or foregrip by it's self. But, I personally keep the foregrip off because to me, It makes me thing it's more accurate. Same with the AN-94.

its been proven on symthic that foregrip and hb work best for all the assault guns, because of the better groupings with foregrip. if you shoot more than 3 bullets per burst, which you should, foregrip gives you better bullet groupings. only the an94 doesn't benefit from the foregrip because of the 2 round burst

It's about accuracy. The G3 may have more vertical recoil but the time to kill is only the theoretical time it takes to kill someone if ALL of your bullets hit. M16 & AEK are much worse on long distance for me at least because their ADS sucks compared to G3.

Due to your playstyle I wouldn't advise running the foregrip. The fg + hb is more effective when you are standing still but when you start to move your spread goes to absolute shit.

G3A3 is my favorite weapon, 86 service cant wait for 100. BTW dont use a forgrip it makes the gun worse.

i dissagree. with just the foregrip on it the G3 still maintains a .2 spread which is equal to the naked M16. with foregrip and heavy barrel it maintains superb acurracy while toning the horizontal recoil from to a measly .1 to either side. With high verticle recoil you can aim for the cheast and take two shot bursts, and if you don't counter the recoil the second shot is almost always a headshot. not true without the foregrip. G3 is one of my top 5 guns and i never use it without the foregrip.

Hey ravic, is it true that you throw your grenade further if you first take the grenade in your hand ( pressing 5 ) instead of just pressing throwing it directly ( pressing G )? Great video btw :)

Oh I totally forgot that: DO NOT USE THE FOREGRIP! The horizontal recoil is very small and manageable and the weapon is meant for long range so a foregrip will add nothing good to this weapon.

Hey Ravic I noticed about half the clips are without fore-grip which do you thin is a more effective setup? Personally I want as much accuracy as possible in all situations, especially when i'm suppressed, so no fore-grip for me.

Any tips for a console player on using this weapon?? I usually run the G3A3 with holo sight, no secondary and a flash suppressor due to its high recoil, I find it very hard to control on console!!! I understand that the HB is great for long range kills but I just can't control the massive recoil while using the HB!!!

Nah, you need the heavy barrel for long range accuracy and damage. You will learn to control the vertical recoil while playing this gun, it's not that hard.

It's a really great gun for mid & long range because you need less bullets to kill. AEK/M16 is for close range and the 0815 lowskill sprayer who needs the massive RPM to win.
