VindicareSniper Hey man I know it looks like that, but I've been on the opposing side against lvlcap before in a few maps on BF3. He is legit terrifying. There was just one CTF map (Nebandan Flats) we were on where he and his single squad was pinning down my entire team. I talking you couldn't move a few steps from the rocky spawn without getting sniped. So, I made an advance with my squad of friends, throwing smoke, moving from rock to rock- He killed them all. ALL of them. I was fucking alone with an MP7, I kill one dude, wait for the second, make sure my flank is covered. He didn't give a fuck, killed me in a single burst (93R) since I was already wounded, I didn't even know who killed me until the kill-cam showed. He did it like a fucking robot too, like he casually knew I was there, knew just when to round the corner, where I was, how much health I had, probably what weapon I was using. Then trying to coordinate three other people to kill ONE person seems easy, until that person is defended by his squad, then his entire team, then factor into the fact he's trading hits with you, and always winning. Anytime you would get him, he'd vanish for a few seconds and kill one of your teammates from another hole. The same pretty much goes for the rest of the times. I've logged about 500 hours in 3 and I think I've only seen maybe eight people as good at playing the game as him. I mean you can say he's just a 'good' or 'decent' player. But I say that makes 90% of the community irredeemably shit at the game, and exaggerates the skills of a 'great' player into impossible godhood.

People seem to forget that Battlefield is a team oriented game. One gun and one soldier will rarely make the difference in a large battle. You might be able to hold one point or one M-COM, but what happens when a tank rolls in? If you're using the Bulldog on the Assault Class, you're fucked. Granted, this gun looks great, if not a bit overpowered. It might be "the best assault rifle in the game." But a skilled player like Level could make a Type 95 look godlike. Familiarity and skill with a weapon, in my opinion, will always win out over sheer damage potential, which is really the only thing the Bulldog brings into the game. How many times have you killed a guy using a Famas, CZ3A1, or AEK (which technically out damage this gun) using something that, statistically, shouldn't have won that gunfight? You won because of skill, not because of numbers.

IRL it's also a semi-auto, not a full-auto rifle. Just like it's parent rifle the M14/M1A it would be nearly useless in full-auto fire in a combat situation, but in semi-auto it is a precision powerhouse.

LevelCap: yes, the Bulldog is a M14, just as the M39 EMR, but I think, what DICE is trying to emulate is, that armies issue different munitions for assault rifles and DMRs, even if they use the same caliber and could be used with identical rounds. So, while M240B and M39 use the same caliber and are both used in the USMC, the M39 gets significant more powerful rounds. So it is not completely unlikely, to have different damage characteristics for 2 versions of the same gun

I'd really have liked the Vector .45 ACP in Battlefield 4. Its one of my favorite SMGs/PDWs! It was awesome in Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 and although I don't have Call of Duty Ghosts, I like to watch videos where people play with the Vector CRB in the game. (There aren't a lot of games apart from Far Cry 3 and Call of Duty which has the Vector, at least not that I know of!). I really hope Battlefield 4 Final Stand DLC has the Vector .45 ACP as a new PDW.

Marc jung All the guns I mentioned have either been recognised as over powered and were nerfed (after a few months) or still are over powered when compared to other weapons in their class. The fact that every DLC comes out with a new 'god gun' gets on my nerves since it makes everything poorly balanced, why use any gun in the lmg class but the AWS? it has a very good 800bpm, little no no recoil (which is easy to control) a 100 bullet magazine and qucik reload (considering the 100rounds).

Burka Flex Went 25-3 with it yesterday just noooo problem whatsoever With angled grip it takes no skill, tap firing becomes ultra easy and in CQC 700rpm + 34 dmg max is more than enough to outshoot most guns in the game

BF4 has no battle rifle class. Only AR and DMR. Besides the original definition of battle-rifle does not require or exclude full auto fire And like I said, DMR is how you use an accurized weapon, not so much a weapon capability. Afterall, the SR338 is a DMR- but it's in the sniper rifle class on BF4.

Such as a First Shot recoil reduction multiplyer so that people would have a reason to use single-shot on fire-select guns- currently, you are always taking worse recoil at single shot 200 RPM than at 6-800 RPMs due to having to take FSR multiple times at full value

The m14 was first full-auto used I Vietnam. But the decided to change that because of the recoil so they made the semi-auto one, then the M14EBR (in bc2) smaller version of the M39EMR.

BF4 is all about tapfire. With hard hitting, small mag weapons like the ACE52, Scar and this overpowered piece of sh1t, angled foregrips are mandatory. The angled grip actually is the best grip of choice for almost any weapon if you want to have the highest possible TTK on higher ranges. You're never facing spread increase if you tapfire correctly.

Lvlcap there are 2 differnt m14. There is the full auto version and the semi auto version, both look the same but there are 2 different ones, and when you modify it to become a bulpup im sure some things change so essentially they can be the same rifle but they will preform alittle difrent.

This is an actual real firearm. The company that makes them had a guy testing one at my local range it looks amazing. He would only let me shoulder the weapon and not fire as it was a prototype modeled on the mini 14 rifle. Extremely heavy though

I think the way DICE should balance this gun is to make it a far more close quartered weapon like most bullpup weapons are. Give it a 2.0 or 2.1 first shot multiplier, increase the spread per shot a little bit, and maybe change its horizontal recoil from .3 on both sides to a .4 left and .2 right. That way the SCAR would be better a controlabiltiy and range while the Bulldog is a close quarters oriented weapon.

Good job, Dice and Visceral at making Assault class more and more OP every year - adding the self revive for Assault in Hardline. Wasn't having the best weapons and being able to heal yourself enough?

LevelCapGaming Since I use the SCAR-H, I find that even in close range, I can outshoot AEK users. Not only does the Bulldog shoot with the same damage model, it shoots even faster. The time to kill on this weapon is so low that this, in a one versus one engagement, is actually kinda OP.

Just unlocked this and oh my god... I've been using the AWS most of the time since Naval Strike came out so I thought it would be hard using the Bulldog's 21 bullet mag all of a sudden but I went 52-9 my first full game with it :D Absolute god gun, takes the crown over the Ace 23 for me (although they are guns that suit different play styles) as the best assault rifle in the game.

Wait, why is everyone complaining? Isn't this a good thing? Placing a gun into a closed environment (CTE) to better balance it, before general release? I mean it's not like they just released it to the general public. If they notice it's overpowered here, they'll hopefully change it before releasing it to the other servers.

Great job level, i appreciate your suggests...i have the bulldog, it's a chainsaw...about pistols, revolvers are amazing (rex, unica, sw, mag) but, give me two more rounds in my favourite m1911, end of the story. Don't stop mate, number 1.

Too clear things up DICE is trying to work around fixed weapons class, the "Bulldog" is a battle rifle.The problem is weapon classes are sometimes vague even in real world terms. For example the US military uses accuratized M16s (5.56x45) as DMRs, the norm globally is full-power rifles (7.62x51/54).The established criteria for a DMR in NATO is basically a rifle that fires semi-auto at a greater level of accuracy than a standard service rifle. SAM-R, G28, ACE 53 As for Battle Rifles, a battle rifle is full-auto rifle that fires full-power rifle cartridges. EX: G3, SCAR H, ACE 52

It would make a bad-ass PDW, think about a sub-carbine with ROF 900 rnds/min (real ROF) firing a heavy assault rifle cartridge. A good damage model would be 35 max-15min with the handling of the UMP. Good choice.

Yeah that would be the M6 A2 carbine 14.7" barrel, the M6 PSD has a 9" barrel. Too bad neither weapon exist in-game.

Balance this by making it 0.6 upwards recoil and 650 rpm and first shot recoil of 1.5 so if an angled grip is attached to the weapon it will have the same recoil as all of the other shots

Try this gun with a 3.4x optic and muzzle brake with angled grip and laser sight on the SEMIAUTO fire setting and you'll destroy everyone at medium and long ranges. You get those 3 shot super quick kills at crazy ranges while maintaining great accuracy. I turned it into sort of a DMR with that class and it beasts

Isn't the bulldog just a fully auto bullpup m14? It uses the same round as a Scar which is a 7.62 x 51, right?

It needs to have the as-val damage model and raise the mps by 30 to balance it out. I feel if its out damaging the AEK at any range it makes that and almost every other assault rifle worse than the bulldog. If it has the AS-Val damage model i think it would balance out perfectly.

This is an M-14 in a new stock. I have one, so it confuses me as to why it is so different from the M-39 EBR which is the same base rifle. Happy it's in the game though. I'll use it and the 226, my fave real handgun.
