Some of the points in time, he isn't explicitly banned for "cheating", the server admins just know that he plays really really well, and as a result, it leads to some of the enemy team members being killed by him and basically rage quitting, "killing the server". For that reason, in some of the recent streams, you'd see rav's team doing like 600 points the the other team's like 250, while holding all of the flags, what's rav doing? sitting on a bunkbed or in a box waiting for the match to finish and repopulate, shuffle, etc.

By DICE? No, but I have been banned by admins that exploited certain RSP's so they could place bans on servers that DICE setup to prevent any admin from banning players from. The "Banned from Official Servers" video and the video description can explain that further. Outside of that sure I've been falsely banned from various servers in every previous Battlefield title by admins who come up with nonsense reasons for the bans.

Thanks for all the BF4 content the past few years Rav. Been enjoyable. I look forward to your thoughts on BFV when it releases this fall. I have concerns, but again I’m not going to express them here for reason of nothing more than speculation and opinion. I feel you and others as veterans have different concerns or wants out of the series that most likely don’t line up with mine. But if anyone wants more info beyond the trailer for what’s changing and coming in BFV, JackFrags and Westie each did long 20-25 minute videos discussing information they were told by DICE yesterday before the reveal event which most of it was not discussed in the event for some reason. Lots to talk about that is changing so that’s why the videos are so long. But, just more for anyone to check out to develop further opinions.

Re: BF5. One interesting thing is the change that you won't regen health to full 100 without a med pack. On one hand I like this, the current way is a little too lenient, imo. It's good that there's going to be more reward for just tagging enemies. On the other hand it's going to make medic gadgets a bit irrelevant. In BF1 I always have the syringe, but not always a med pack. In BF5 it will make no sense whatsoever to leave the med pack out.

I have seen the new trailer\some concepts from Twitter and I can't really say anything yet. Its way too early to judge the game and predict its lifespan. I've learned from experience that I'm not a good predictor of things like this (for example I liked AW and have played BF1 since its release) but looking at the amount of color and activity in the trailer gives the impression that the game at least will be amazing visually.

I read your description, I belief BFV will play like it is a Bad Company title however many aspects of BC will be diluted by DICE’s focus on providing an accurate historical experience. DICE has done WWII already, I really hope that DICE focuses on the gameplay and experience more than history. I’m aware these things also go hand in hand but they need to find a good balance. BF1 was so historical that many maps(mostly maps), vehicles, and weapons were represented far too accurately to balance out appropriately. The problem with this is that BF1 was always trying to tell the story of WWI and there was a lot to get across since not many devs have made a WWI focused game. Quite a story had to be told so DICE did not leave enough room for gameplay. So considering that WWII games have been done many times over by many game devs, maybe this next battlefield title will be incredible.. that’s if DICE decides not to beat the dead horse of WWII FPS and create an addictive battlefield game, not an interactive history lesson.

While it is early to have a well-formed opinion on BF V, here’s what **I** think after watching the (good) videos JackFrags, and Westie posted along with Stodeh’s stream (BTW, check out JackFrags's interview with Battlefield Design Director): - Grand Operations sounds totally rad - No random bullet deviation is awesome (still no word on suppression though, yet) - No premium pass and live service updates is the right step - Weapon/soldier customization sounds good (but soldier’s in particular may take away from the authenticity of WW2) - Crouch/slide and leaning mechanics are very welcome - The repairing structures / building new ones mechanic sounds interesting, will have to play it to know how it really feels - I’m very intrigued and looking forward to playing with the new subclasses (where you can be a stealthy scout etc) - I’m concerned about the player’s health not recovering back to 100% on its own and getting capped at intervals - Also concerned about revives taking longer since I understand this can make them be even more I’m important but could also make players not want to revive because it simply takes longer What about you @Ravic?

Great video, as always. Truly my only concern is the "fortification" system. To me, this could be game- breaking as to the extent of which you could build shit. Customization, women, all of that doesn't necessarily bother me as it doesn't ruin gameplay. Fortifications might, and that's my biggest fear. Don't fuck it up DICE.

Apparently the devs had a 3 hour stream in which they talked about a lot of new aspects that will be found in the BFV. I watched a jackfrags vid where he consolidated all the info into a shorter version. I actually like most of the things that he mentioned were being added and/or changed. Most importantly, no more 3D spotting and better customization. Kinda iffy on the whole “build your own fortification” thing tho.

I’d have to say my biggest gripe is regarding all of the negative comments surrounding the trailer. I’ve read comments about a “robot” arm the soldier is using. Look, it’s a prosthetic and supposedly customizable option of your soldier. How is that going to affect your gameplay experience in a negative way? Answer, it won’t. How about the fact that a character in the game is a female? Does that affect your in game experience? No. I guess people are always looking for something to complain about. If it’s fun then I’ll play it. It doesn’t have to be historically accurate or pay homage to fallen soldiers of WW2. It’s a VIDEO GAME. Let’s not forget that this is a super quick “teaser” trailer of the game not a true in game experience.

The only thing I'm concerned with is the lack of Premium AND lootboxes. I love the change, but I worry EA might shaft actual content because of it. That and the soldier customization, I hope it doesn't affect how easily you can identify classes, as with the new spotting system this is gonna be even more important. Hope soldier identification doesn't get destroyed because of this. My smallest concern is the recoil patterned guns. DICE always used horizontal recoil to control balance, with higher rof weapons having worse DPS at range than lower rof weapons. This could be killed off with recoil patterns unless they add some degree of randomness to it. Not to mention that spread is supposedly getting reduced (which again, could give us the same issue). Bf1 did a pretty good job at dictating weapon ranges with its recoil and FSSM system, I hope they don't drop all that and cater to idiots. Game design isn't a democracy. Another one that could be bigger is the assymetrical vehicle balance. Could turn into anotther "little bird main" situation. Overall the changes seem wonderful. more interaction, less handholding (animations can be canceled, like reviving), the new squadspawning. So many potentially great things. My favorite bit right now is the colors. No more just grey's n browns, finally some fucking color back into the series. People are screaming it's disrespectful to WW2 vets, fuck those people, I want a beautiful game instead of some boring war horror bullshit.

Thank you for the input. Something else to think about is while some of those changes to the classes and their functions or how they normally behaved in previous Battlefield titles looks good on paper I have concerns about it in practice or live game with a full server. Unless the player count for Conquest is getting reduced some of the changes could slow down gameplay to a MilSim crawl.

I have some hope for the new game, from what little I know I'm not writing it off. My biggest concern is going to be the cosmetics, I hope they don't go too crazy with them. Other than that I am hopeful that it will turn out well, the new movement system could be good, maybe, really too early to tell and the gunplay sounds nice. Hopefully, we get a beta soon and can really tell what it's all going to be like, once I have gameplay I'll be able to really judge.

I like the "attrition" idea, spawning with less ammo, not regenerating to full health, having to physically pick up stuff, buddy revives, being able to drag bodies. Could be cool.
