The stickers is actually the players emblem in the profile menu. You can change them and they'll appear on your gun.

M1928 thompson wasn't been in ww2. M1A1 Thompson was

It was used in ww2 very extensively, the M1A1 was a simplified version but was very limited in its versatility, it couldn't hold drum mags and was limited to 20 and 30 round stick mags, the M1928 could hold both 20 and 30 round stick mags and 50 and 100 round drum mags as well as the use of a fore grip and a compensator. British forces used the M1928 throughout the war as well as marines in the early engagements of the Pacific theatre.

Side mounted magazines allowed the weapon to be used more easily when going prone (which wouldn’t be as convenient with a long stick mag poking out the bottom) and provided the shooter with a lower silhouette from behind cover. They also didn’t interfere with sight picture/placement like top-mounted mags do. Downside was that they unbalanced the guns and made them awkward to carry. Also made the mags easier to damage due to how they increased these guns’ horizontal profiles. But really, most early side-mag smgs were just MP-18 copycats; mainly because the MP-18’s layout worked well for trench warfare and most of these guns were developed before WWII definitively changed the rules of warfare.
