I think that's the point. When a game is that detailed it's almost unnoticeable. You only notice stuff that feels out of place or unnatural or when you're reminded it's a video game and breaks the immersion.

There is a rare reload animation with the M1 Garand where after inserting the clip into the gun, your character gets his thumb caught in the chamber for like 1.5 seconds edit: 3% chance to happen

The Garand has three reloads in total: One where the bolt drops forward automatically when the clip is inserted, one where the bolt *doesn't* drop automatically and needs a nudge (a common real life issue), and the third is the rare "Garand thumb" one.

And most people trash game because of how the devs are, DICE could've done plenty on this game before it came out but they rushed it, hence why it getz hate. Fallout was a complete disaster and therefor got hate. Like i mean you didnt even have to play the game to know it was bad. No Man Sky was promised all ghese things on launch or just abit after but didnt get anything for quite sometime. Man even battlefront, as soon as everyone heard lootboxes and microtransactions... shit went aouth real quick. Anyways hope you get the point. Game devs are getting lazier and lazier each new game.

the M1 garand clip is actually slightly wrong. if you feed an 8 round clip into the gun and shoot 1 round, then eject the clip, the clip will be missing 2 rounds because the rifle fed one bullet into the chamber.

What you said would be 100% true if it wasn't a full 8 round clip PLUS one already in the chamber. But I think it starts you with one in the chamber plus the full clip, so it's accurate.

@@JavipenoPepper in order to load a clip into the internal mag, the bolt needs to be back, meaning any round in the chamber would have been ejected(something that's also not done in the animated). i don't have an m1 (yet) but as far as i know there is no way to load a garand 8 +1.

Actually, you can load a full clip into Garand, shoot 4 then eject the clip and reload another full clip. Just pull the loading arm and insert another clip. So it is possible to reload discarding the unspent ammunition. The game developers sometimes make their own truths based on their conception of "how it should be". How do I know that? Because I operated a Garand during my military service and they gave us empty clips before shooting to practice.

Modern warfare felt like battlefield to me to first 5 minutes I started playing it when it came out. I still to this day say they hired DICE (battlefield creators) to do alot of the real world effects for modern warfare

Battlefield is in a weird state right now. Theyve went against the community TTK wishes and released a really broken game. I thought it was amazing but it got repetitive too quick. Now i’m having this problem with cod.. im hoping from now on they release 1 modern, wwii, vietnam battlefield and cod and keep them for 7-8 years... but keep updating content for those years. Would be fun imo and when you get bored of one you can goto another up to date game with a different feel. (Id love to hop on bf3 but it hasnt been updated in forever) they have created so much technology for these games over the years i wish they just started focusing on content. Imagine a game with 150 maps, 30-40 guns per class.. idk just my thought lol. Nice vid

@@Nemsk Actually Frost engine isn't that great to work with, whilst it is a good engine to have for what DICE needs, just the engine itself is pretty shit. It's hard to maintain bugs and exploits, sometimes the simplest of task to implement in the game can't be done because you'd have to get rid of one thing for this thing... If that made sense. Anyways for more details I guess, go and watch JackFrags. He has a video about it, not sure what it's called.

@Deifan Actually that is not true, they still update the engine to be able to do new things, DICE owns frostbite engine, and they tweak thimgs here and there to be able tp put in new ,echanics like a beimg in a downed state for example. Frostbite engine is just real cunt to work with. I think DICE is just biting off more they can chew tbh. They want big but cant handle it. If that made sense

The M1 Garand actually doesn't have great attention to detail here; if you fire 3 shots and then open the gun to remove the clip, one unfired round which was chambered and ready to fire will be lost and you'll only have 4 in the clip.

It's great that they show you the remaining bullets in the clip when it's ejected, however, they're adding an extra step where he manually slams the bolt forward after loading the clip into the gun. This doesn't happen when you load an actual M1 Garand. The bolt automatically closes with great force once the clip is fully inserted. I'm sure they're just adding the extra animation for more flair. It's just not realistic though.

@11 and 19 seconds you see the clips are loaded with the 1st/ top round on the left (though in reality I think they're on the right but not 100%... been a while!). Anyway he fires 7 rounds. The last/ 8th round should therefore be on the right. But it is not. Same when he fires one round. If he fired an even number you'd have the top round on the left, odd number on the right. It's on the left each time here.

Funny how Dice spent so much time on little immersive details like that and the they went a put a Scottish bionic arm women on the front lines of a battle in WW2, because yer that realistic and true to the war and black Braveheart guy followed but a British commando with a samurai sword on his back, I really wanted a modern Battlefield Game set in WW2, epically after BF1, but they just went and ruined it trying to appeal to mad SJWs and talking down to there fans.

First one makes no sense and is clearly a case of "not knowing how guns work". If you had an 8 round clip and you close the bolt chambering a round, now youd only have 7 in the clip. Fire that round in the chamber, bolt comes back, loads another round into the chamber, leaving 6 rounds in the clip. Then when you eject the clip, one round will pop out of the chamber and there will still be 6 left in the clip. So ironically by showing the "attention to detail", you've shown a lack of attention to detail. Genius

The sad thing is despite all the attention to visual details, gamebreaking bugs exist and have become the norm. They would have done a lot better to shift 80% of art department resources to the coding department. People like a nice looking game, but people keep playing good games without issues. There's a reason this game is a massive flop.

If you want a journey (I guess you could say) watch JackFrags he been making content on it since it came out so, you'll be able to see its life span.
