I think the devs of this game are doing a fantastic job, but I can’t help to notice the excessive similarities with BF2042. Some parts just seem completely copied. I don't know if you'd agree but going from Delta Force back to 2042 i started thinking that 2042 is not that bad or maybe Delta Force is not as good as everyone thought it would be, but it's like the same thing minus good vechicle gameplay that 2042 has. I mean the maps are as bad as in 2042 with lots of open spaces where you get killed from at least 180 degree radius, movement and gameplay everything fels like slow-motion, same "specialist" system, overcomplicated weapon attachments system, almost nothing in UI customization compared to 2042 where you can literally change everything to your liking Overall i feel like Delta Force is an extraction shooter where they added Breakthrough and Conquest because everything above fits perfectly in extraction-style fps

BF 2042 is not that bad. It caught a lot of flak at the start because on release it was just a mess, but once the devs found their groove and stuck to it, it was fine. Are there things I wouldn't have done or that I would change? Sure. That's why were getting a new BF that will go back to basics instead of trying to reinvent the wheel. 2042 is still a fun shooter for what it is and I think people can't see past their icks. It fundamentally remains a Battlefield game.

yea, i really don't understand the people who actually consider this to be competition to battlefield. these games are like worlds apart. delta force is literally a free mobile fps that's also on pc. the similarities to bf are on a surface level at best. but when you look more closely, battlefield is ahead in almost every aspect. however, i do believe the extraction mode will be quite big. the slow pace and sluggishness of movement fits the extraction mode way more than the battlefield mode.

As someone who is primarily a vehicle player, the vehicle gameplay in 2042 is terrible, definitely the worst in the series going back to at least bad company 2. Cant speak to how bad it is in delta force as I haven't been able to play it yet (i play on controller, and they haven't added support for it), but it would have to be especially bad to be worse the 2042.

One thing I’ve always wanted on tanks in order to bridge the gap between high and low sense is to have the turret turn at a constant speed but you can aim your camera as fast as you like, so that would be represented with the reticle matching your sense but the little square box represents the turret catching up, kind of like it does now if you get what I mean

The EXP for damage, is one of the most underrated features of the latest BF games. having to not completely kill someone to get some EXP points is absolutely massive, and makes it feel like a much nicer grind. And the overall feel and looks of that game really does seem like it was built around bf 3/4

I think as soon as DICE announce BF2025 this will be forgotten about, IF (big if) they land where they say they're gonna land, in the BF3/4 range. Delta Force looks like it has a budget and a gritty feel, but otherwise it mostly just seems like 2042 to me, and I think people are going to be way more willing to make that comparison IF (big if again) BF2025 is modern era, has squadplay, has classes, and doesn't have a bunch of weird secondary futuristic abilities going off. Seems like it'll be a fun stopgap though.

Been on battlefield since bf1942 back in 2002. Still play 2042 regularly. Played Delta Force for a good 4-5 days and nah I can't play it. Just felt cheesy with all the crazy gadgets and everyone yelling at the start of the round. It looks great visually but it's just missing something battlefield has always had even if 2042 wasn't as great as we wanted it to be at release. Delta Force ain't taking over battlefield anytime soon especially as we near the release of the new one.

Why is it, that so many games these days only allow to team up with a max of 4 people? Am I not allowed to have more than 3 Friends to play with? That is one of the reasons why BF2024 failed in our gaming community: We could not even play together. To play on the same server with more than 4 people, you have to join the squad of one - Join a match - leave the squad and make a new one - invite other players. When you are finally all on the same server, the match ends and everything goes back to the menu..... F**** "round-based" games without persistent servers and screw the limit of 4 players in a squad! Just last week we had a Lan-Party and we joined a Squad (game) Server, where we had 9 players, all in one Squad and having a blast! MAKE SQUADS/PARTIES GREAT AGAIN!

Looks like the global illumination falloff is set to low for that map and the player models aren't included in the pass. Free to play games have to run on potatoes as well as high end stuff this kinda thing is to be expected, and can be solved quite easily. I would be more worried about the thing just straight up not running once the servers are loaded up, people have little tolerance for borked launches anymore.

I think the map is supposed to be modern day Europe, maybe some idea's from Ukraine, but I don't see anything that would be WWI inspired about it considering all the modern vehicles and modern trench equipment. The shallow hastily built looking trenches seem to follow the ones built in Ukraine, not the deep ones engineered and built at the end of WWI that protect better from the extremes amount artillery that was used.

A moving chopper hit mid air does not freeze when it explodes. Debris will keep on moving forward. Realism check for devs at 13:14. Great shot with the launcher by the way, Jack!

I thought to myself "Cool, it looks like a cool fun game but I wouldn't be willing to pay for it to play it unless it's free or would have a huge discount" but didn't know it's totally free ! what a surprise since it looks so good and high quality and worthy for a free game, I definitely want to give it a try now, it releases in a few days so we'll see how good and fun this game is.
