Doreallus I am not lying about this, I am red and green color blind. I got a pair of these glasses called Enchroma, the company. for the first time in 21 years I was able to see the different colors in the sunrise and sunset. I have a friend who literally only saw black and white, when he looked at the woods all the trees seemed to be flat, no depth at all. He got a pair and was able to see a colored sunrise for the first time in his life (he's about 45), he broke down in tears because he couldn't believe the beauty that the colors made.

I'm asian, and I gotta say, that bit with asian desserts is relatable to me. I've been to many Chinese restaurants, and most of the time the desserts are always: Watermelon, melon, cakes/jelly that only tastes sweet, or those mandarin oranges/tangerines. Though when I go to fancy Chinese restaurants, they usually serve mango pudding with cream and I really love those.

I accidentally hit comment on the last one before I finished it and it was to include that I love these podcasts, and I was having a very depressing and anxious day (if that is even how you properly use "anxious" in that sentence) and this video made me laugh my ass off so hard (especially about the sneezing) I was sometimes not able to breathe, which in that case was a good thing. Hey neebs, in reference to what you said about emergency lights on a scene, as an EMT in LA county, we have bright flood lights on the sides and rear of our vehicles to light the scene up too. The flashing emergency lights are to get people to get/stay out of our way

Doraleous is wrong, I'm a biology major, so trust me. Shrimp, lobsters, and crabs are not insects. They are arthropods, meaning jointed foot, just like insects and ants. More specifically they are crustaceans. And even more specifically, to exclude barnacles and woodlice, they are decapods. Which means ten feet/foot. And yes, the deveining removes their intestinal tract. Without doing that you would have boiled poop in your shrimp. It's harmless but gritty. Use me as the expert to correct Doraleous (and co) if you want, Simon. The reason why lobster was viewed as trash food was because they wouldn't keep them alive. When caught they were killed and even ground up, exoskeleton and all. So you'd have a nasty week old lobster with shell bits within if you weren't on the coast, like Cape Cod.

I have a friend who got a pair of those color blind correcting glasses. He's red-green and they had all these colorful things and it was good and he was blown away. He didn't cry till I took him to this place we play as kids, in the woods, and he put the glasses on. Something about seeing the world in a beautiful and new light

Southern Indiana childhood food: Liver and onions, Mush, Poke salad, Venison, Deer Brains, Snapper (Turtle) Soup, Chicken Gizzards, BBQed Racoon, Roasted Possum, mushrooms and Squirrel. I didn't know this was weird. Still had it better than my momma, grandpa use to grab the meat of the side of the road and say he got it hunting, it wasn't hunting season. The economy in rural Indiana wasn't so great in the 70s.
