The Droideka should get a buff like this: Cost: 2,000 BP Damage buff: 35% less damage drop-off He has a 65% Damage Reduction when unfolding/folding into a ball. Shield buff: Shield has a 20% health buff

Paul I agree a buff for Droideka should coincide with an increase in price. Personally though I'd switch damage reduction on transformation for quicker transformation time when going into ball form. I think their vulnerability during transformation is what helps balance them. I'd buff the shield a bit further than 20%. The current shield health is 550 so I'd buff it to at least 1000. I'd get rid of the splash damage on the guns though as I don't remember them having that in the movies.

in fact i think its a very interesting take on most "heavy" characters like the, well, heavy in TF2: instead of slow and basically immobile when firing, go for lightning fast and basically immobile when firing, with a vulnerable time between the two

My god droidekas got screwed so hard after the damage drop off nerf. If they’re going to leave their damage dropoff they need to either make the form change CONSIDERABLY faster or give a lot of damage reduction during the change. I think making it faster would not only balance it better but also improve gameplay and the feel of the unit.

It's a harasser. Not a tank. You play it very well. By far my favorite class in the entire game. Roll, flank, pop out and pot abilities, kill one or two, then roll back up and get the hell outta dodge.

What droideka is supposed to be: A turret that is either the slowest thing in the world with op shields and great firepower or defenceless sonic the hedgehog with nothing in between. What droideka is used as: Assasin that changes between modes so frequently that it's fast, deadly and indestructible almost at all times.

In Dice's defense the tank playstyle is technically viable given you are quick to evade when your shield drops and play with your team to pick up on the lack luster dps the droideka has from mid range.
