It is not that often to get a full lobby on the Starfighter assault game mode! This game mode is both much better and much worse with full 24 players, depending on the map. It is so fun either way!

Battlefront 2 (2017) is a great game despite all of it's flaws, most of them are due to EA's greed. If they make Battlefront 3, I hope EA keep their greed in check (one can hope...)

@8:31 Why didn't both fighters go Boom! when they collided? Also, why were killing the troop transports a thing? They don't provide any benefit to the Star Destroyer. *Shrugs* On the other hand... if Star Wars ships were showcased properly, dog fighting _that_ close to them would be suicide. Especially since, canonically, the Resurgent-class has over 1,500 weapons on it, lol. I think that's one of the few ships in Star Wars lore that has nearly the appropriate amount of weapons for its size. For most other ships, they carry too few weapons. Of course, animating all those weapons would be a pain in the posterior... and probably blinds the players whenever they look in the direction of the ships...

I totally agree! Killing troop transports as the resistance just makes them look like the bad guys! Not very lore friendly! On the other points you made, the game is bit on the more arcady side, cannot have too much realism so it is more fun to play. For example star wars squadrons is bit more realistic, but also imo is the slightly worse game out of the two.

Starfighter Assault is definitely on the more arcadey side :) Otherwise, lore wise it is very strange that the Rebels attack the transport ships so viciously, hunting unarmed ships is not very hero-like.

About the troop transport, according to the announcer of First Order team, they're sending troops away to attack the Resistance...somewhere, which really doesn't help the Star Destroyed under attack, so yeah that doesn't make a lot of sense

I play on PC on Eu servers, there is always at least 1-2 servers going on for this mode! Not always full but good enough with 5v5 players.

There were definitely bot kills this game... atleast 3 on the imperial side

Of course, you can easily spot bots, they do not have nameplates over their starfighters. And it says AI killed in the score after you kill them.
