Its really good, im totally addicted now, but the lightsaber combat system its really far away from past games... There is no difference in lateral or front attacks, there is no back attack (u need to totally turn the camera and do front attack... AND THAT SUCKS), and in consequence no pure lightsaber combos because basic attacks change in auto, but u cant choose the way it moves. Jump in battle is totally useless and dangerous, no customization... I like the powers mechanic, dodge and block, but i would like to choose move the lightsaber in different ways like Jedi Academy. Personally, the game is an 8 in multiplayer and 6 in singleplayer (omg the bugs in IA and physhics xD). Improving the combat system would rise to 10 and 7 for me. But its only my perspective. Summary: 1. Only infantry can interact with turrets/ion disruptors etc. 2. Palpatine can electrocute with both hands (LT and RT) however it uses double the stamina. 3. Manually cool blaster whilst rolling to make yourself less vulnerable. 4. Don't ability spam. 5. Utilise AT-TE to win Galactic Assault attack on Geonosis. 6. You have to push-up to win. 7. Play your weapon at its effective range. 8. Keep an eye on your stamina as a lightsaber hero. Great video :)

Dude this shit even manages to happen on Kamino Co-op defense, the last point only has two hallways the droids can come from, and I get trash players who somehow manage to get us flanked. Unless I’m getting rushed down by a Dooku or Maul and I’m not playing as a Clone Commando I can hold one of those hallways no problem on my own, but still I get dumb and dumber huddled behind me with less than 10k points.

Apparently for Palpatine, if you use one hand it attacks more enemies but less damage and stamina drain. If you use both hands more damage but higher stamina drain and it can't attack more than one enemy, unless they are very close similar to HvV.

I agree. In third person you can see your surroundings so you might be able to tell if someone attacks from the side. In first person you can't see your sides so you're a lot more vulnerable to attacks from the side. That's a basic summary of your tip.

I disagree. I have a hell of a time seeing droids on certain maps in third person. Third person does offer more situational awareness, but I found my marksmanship and target acquisition improved in first person. I do constantly check lanes of attack and different sectors though so the limited fov doesn't effect me as much. What's weird is this is the only game I find that valid. Everything else I play, if third person is offered, that's what I pick.

You can use the CR2 at long range to setup kills as you close the distance. I use the ion shot attachment and it knocks out shields at long distance and deals a few points of damage. As you close in you can wipe a cluster of enemies out in short time.

There’s two big tips I think quite a few won’t know: 1. You can parry saber attacks, clicking the attack immediately after they attack while you’re still blocking before and after you attack. This will guarantee 1v1’s against spammers (there’s a very in-depth video on this, it should be the first result). 2. You can dodge while using your base attack as palpatine.

There are different guns with different damage values. Some snipers are 4 shot kills, a couple are 1 shot headshot kills. Same with every other class. Also some have shock round options, burst spray option, heavy rounds, etc. Plus you can equip cards so that when you get perfect reloads those rounds are charged too.

Mongo The Magnificent yeah I played it on special forces, but for the most part if the Original character missions like Luke Leia and Han aren’t taken into account, the experience when playing was pretty stale. The Ai being dumb as rocks didn’t help much either.

It’s a good thing as a veteran I only ever made one of these mistakes, primarily just ability spam with heroes like Vader and Kylo, tends to happen when I’m in an intense duel between 2-3 lightsaber heroes as Darth Vader and make a mistake because of the adrenaline rush. Very helpful tips bazaar. Just recently I’ve started taking more risks pushing objectives and as a result it catches most of the enemy team off guard and I get lucky with heroes like Luke and Kylo and manage to thin the herd. Only problem is I tend to be on teams that don’t push forward when I do and as a result it leads to a lost game. But when I do get mat makes onto good teams that’s usually when I have the most fun as a hero.

Yeah, nothin more frustrating than for you to put your hard earned hero on the line by playing the objective aggressively.....only to find out that none of your teammates are pushing with you and half of them are waiting in the lobby spamming to get a hero after you die.

Justin R Very true in most cases, and annoying as well when your teammates are more focused in getting the hero than playing objectives. I usually strayed from using Palpatine because like Anakin he’s a hero that’s easy to get kills with, at least in my experience, good heroes for objective clearing, not as good when it comes to actually fighting them.

Hollow used to played around 50 soldier sensitivity because it was the most balanced, but lately I’ve bumped it up and now I’m around 65 sensitivity, gives you an advantage if you can manage how fast your turn rate is.

Did not know about the stamina differences. Makes sense, and I like that they stayed true to the characters. Obi-wan was a master of the Soresu style of lightsaber combat. This form majors on defense, especially blocking and multiple blaster enemies. Kylo Ren can't control his anger, so attacking stamina makes a lot of sense. I like continuity.

I also see players that use heroes when they start to lose a battle they try and jump away slowly. That's a mistake because in the air you are vulnerable to everything. If you are going to run just dash away and then run on the ground, it's faster and you can block if the enemy is on your ass.

Also the problem is if the person you're fighting does a jump attack to catch you then you'll just die either way. Jumping only works if the persin you're fighting against isn't that great and can't hit jump swings or knows that force abilities work on you

The mistake about Palpatine's dual firing is probably muscle memory from Battlefront 2015 for some players, it certainly was for me. Back then Palpatine fired with both hands with just the right trigger, and IIRC his left trigger ability was something akin to Yoda's block.

5:50 The biggest grievance I have is people not falling back when the game tells them to. I've ended up in supremacy games where the clones don't fall back to the engine room, and then the droids immediately take that room. So instead of the droids attacking the room and the clones defending the objective, you end up with clones attacking the room, and the droids racking up massive damage on the objective because they control the whole thing - all because the clones decided not to fall back. Surefire way to lose supremacy, that.

Got the game from PS Plus. Played through the whole campaign. Then I hop on online, play a couple of matches and learn the mechanics. Once I got enough credits I bought Grievous and rushed a group of 5 cornered enemies with his special attack (the one that makes the 4 lightsabers spin like crazy). Died in less than 2 seconds by a normal rebel dude. Never played again.

I've still found it to be the most OP weapon in the game. It absolutely melts up close, and from what I can tell (I lasted played a little over a year ago.), they nerfed the Vanguard, Blurg, and the base damage for every starting weapon especially the officer, and the heavy, it takes so many shots to kill even a specialist, or officer

Issue with the spam thing is that I’m a veteran player and I still have to button mash, because the control input delay from my controller to the game is so bad that it usually genuinely takes multiple presses before the button input responds properly. Sometimes I get impatient and try and spam it quickly to get it to work faster, and ultimately just end up cancelling the ability (and almost universally always dying as a result).

I’m a new player, I’ve got about 5-8 hours in the game and I’m loving it so far! But can I just say... the way people play heroes is sooo annoying. 90% of the match heroes are taken by the same people and you never see them during the game. They never help protect/attack the objective! They’re just nonexistent.... we lose the game but at least they got 56 kills and zero deaths 😓

Also on geonosis sometimes some players on the AT-TE will shoot at the transports with their middle ability (forgot what it was called) but will not activate their right ability, which will expose the transport. Whenever I play as Vader and I have to fight a lightsaber hero, I always prefer to take a more patient attack. That means I usually take the battle slow because I try to get my target to attack first, then I dodge the attack and I use my choke ability and while I'm choking I throw my blade to deal extra damage.
