As someone who plays Sonic Showdown off and on, it's...not bad but could be better. The cutscenes, the fact that it is (idk if other games have this) the only battlegrounds game with an air combat mechanic, and the roster of playable characters are solid. However, the combat is janky and the balancing could be better.

@kadonyt7518 What I meant was that ALL battlegrounds games have a lot of effort put into them, even if some are sorta.. doodoo. I like the sonic one since it is something I haven't seen ANYONE do before. And if I'm being honest, it might be the best animation in the game. (Not that others aren't but yknow they are sorta mid) Also it's so much fun to land on others. I love these "ULTIMATE CUTSCENES" that are over-the-top.

i am not throwing shade to any of the games or their makers, i still liked them all, but i feel like Ultimate Battlegrounds has the best Cutscenes, they are able to give the player a sense of awe, whilst still allowing the player to understand what is happening, with some it did feel like i was in the middle of a hurricane that ran through a glow stick factory, but i digress. all of the work into making the cutscenes is very much appreciated, and i cant really be talking like this when i know damn well i couldn`t make one of these, but still i just wanted to mention it.
