I mean to be fair, if i were to be a roblox developer and I knew that I could earn a LOT of money I would practically be the same. Money is money. No one really takes roblox seriously, after all its just a free video game. I can see why developers are in it for the money and not for passione.

crazy thing is sorcerer battlegrounds meatriders will try to argue that JJS isnt that good. and the only thing they bring up are the visuals/cutscenes/domains. the game literally focuses on gameplay and accuracy to the series more than visuals 💀

I’m actually working on a Spell Casting PvP game that started as a magic dueling arena that then took inspiration and elements from battlegrounds rather than the other way around 👀 Animations and VFX wont be as insane as anime (thus battlegrounds in general), but I think it’ll bring some uniqueness and repetition-breaking mechanics you’re looking for while still having some things of what makes battlegrounds so fun 😉

The thing about Battleground games isn't just the animation and stuff. It's about how unbelivably repetitive it gets when you play a battleground game and you see the same combat system, the same gui, the same 4 ability moveset and the same ult bar. Even if they added something new like JJS, thats already being copied by other battleground games in development. Thats not the only thing as well since these games have been around people just hang out in them making it impossible for you to play solo unless you want to die constantly so the only way to have fun is playing with a group of people. And the only reason on why this exists is because of how battleground games are made. Just saying though that im not saying that the animation or any of that stuff is bad, its the concept of copying the same exact thing again so that they can optimize the game for more people to play which is why theres always a whole mob of people hanging out in servers so they earn more money.

I've only played ultimate battlegrounds and I find it really fun, the movement feels smooth and the effects are incredible, so I can't really agree or disagree with battleground games being repetitive

We got chakra battle grounds coming up and from the sneaks they are actually INNOVATING and introducing new mechanics while still being a battlegrounds game at its core, I cant wait till it fully releases

imo the reason this formula thrived in the first place was because everyone was tired of grinding for good stats (project Baki.. and many anime games) so they want a game where they can get to the pvp part without dumb grinding. honestly good for them

aetherfall battlegrounds is super different from other battlegrounds games and it also has 17 classes, which is the most ive ever seen in a battlegrounds game and they have different types of ultimates. it only has like 100 active players sadly which is kinda surprising

Roblox is starting to get boring since every time I scroll through the game list it's mostly just battlegrounds copies or RNG clones. Both of those games keeps getting made by devs that either want money or game visits. We lost the era of roblox where games were actually good, and not just about gambling and battleground games.
